Ciudad del Carmen is located at 18°38′N 91°50′W / 18.63°N 91.83°W / 18.63; -91.83 on the southwest of Carmen Island, which stands in the Laguna de Términos on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. As of 2010, Ciudad del Carmen had a population of 169,466, up from the 2005 census of 154,197. In July 2006 Ciudad del Carmen celebrated its 150th anniversary as a city.

May not be the best sushi in the world but it is pretty decent specially for a place not known for sushi. Ciudad del Carmen has great seafood and is very capable to supply fresh fish. this place could improve their quality if they used local fish. Still a good place to eat some sushi on the island!

Es un restaurante constellerai que tiene muchÃsimos años, preparan el mejor ceviche de la isla, tiene una fama muy bien ganada con el ceviche de Nicolas. A pesar de que Nicolas se fue hace años, la familia sigue con el servicio personalizado y la excelente calidad

This is the best sea food in Carmen, is not a fancy place (no AC) but the food is very good the menu has lots of options (fish ceviche,shrip ceviche, etc) the service is fast and friendly. I like it a lot more than Cajun both in service and food taste.I had tried all the restaurant in Carmen and for sea food i stick to this one.

Our large family stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night and had no problem getting in. Our local family member had called ahead and ordered because the main dish we got was salt fish which takes 40 minutes to prepare. It was a tasty flaky fish that was expertly served at the table. We also had two types of ceviche (citrus cured seafood) crabs and shrimp. The salt fish and ceviche were the stars. They have a full bar and excellent service. The view of a he bridge was great as well.

All the seafood here is very good, but be careful with English menu - I ordered snail coctail, but got a squid. The top rating I will give to batterfish baked in salt - absolutely delicious dish. A waiter brings it with salt, separates salt and skin in front of you, and carefully detachs fillet from bones. Also, I would recommend baked shrimps - you may have it before the fish as baking takes time. Bon appetite!

It was THE PLACE for shrimp but have been changing, not bad but nothing special anymore, sometimes overcrowded and service can be slow ...in the bright side they serve wild and fresh shrimp

Really good seafood but be careful about the recipes. For example, oysters Rockefellor was nothing like we know in the states. Locals seemed to eat lots of seafood empanadas (very large) and various types of seafood cocktails. Very professional place, very busy, open air, good prices.
