If you are in the mood for Turkish "Kuru Fasulye" (bean stew), this is really place to go. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Rize. It has free parking.
Kuru fasulye is amazing. You should order it with white rice. Be warned that they don't refrain from using fat but that adds to the taste. We also tried the pickles. They have a special local way of serving them and it ia very good. We also tasted sutlac (rice pudding). They were all very good. The prices seem to be normal.

Yesil Vadi Restaurant by Firtina deresi, run by a cheerful family from Camlihemsin total rebuilt after a recent fire which had demolished the establishment.
Camlihemsin, is a small town , on the halfway from Black Sea shore to popular Ayder upland. The area is famous for its spotted trout called benekli alabalik, where Yesil Vadi serves one of the best if fresh available Due to recent fire we were not able to have our lunch on the deck by the flowing creek where we heard is always very pleasing . We had ours on the second floor where the first floor is one big open kitchen run by women . Both kitchen and restaurant section
was shining clean. The restaurant serves both meat and fish along with daily local specials, the menu is suitable for vegetarians also.
The father welcomed us where the son showed us to our table mother is in charge of the kitchen rest of the family was incharge of service.
We had cold mezes for starter which were all fresh. Russian salad and cornbread were excellent. We had the best mihlama a cheese fondue type local melted cheese, butter and corn flour dish eaten by fresh bread ( sounds greasy but no trip to Black Sea region is complete
unless mihlama is tasted at least once) brought by the owner himself and served by a ritual. The stuffed kale ( kara lahna dolmasi ) as hot dish should be tasted if cooked at time of your visit. We were also served complemetary just roasted famous Black Sea hazelnut, delicious. Of course the trout cooked with butter in individual clay pots two for a portion was memorable. We were so full to enjoy the desert so we skipped it.
I am not sure about alcohol service but all soft drinks were available, the place looked immaculate and the dishes were very fresh and tasty, the bathrooms were clean . The tab was not expensive but the highest we paid in the region. If you drive you can park in the front, it is on the main road to Ayder just on the corner .

Location is very nice surrounded with trees and river. Clean and tidy with large rooms Breakfast is good. Net is good. The only disadvantage was they did not have AC in the rooms and if you leave your window open you must beware of insects !
We have booked a Honey moon room and found out later the normal double room has a balcony but the honey moon rooms don't , that's to say normal double room is better then honeymoon rooms !!

Felamur is a family run small restaurant, serving local dishes. As there is usually problems relating to the restaurants in the area, which are either poor quality or overpriced, this restaurant is a good one.It is good value as well as serving almost home made dishes, not salty or oily. Service is good. Recommended.

Great location with lovely views of the waterfall and the river. The waiter promised us a table next to the view and kept his word. We ordered muhlama, veg soup, gözleme, fried trout, lamb chops and lamb şiş. Everything was very good, even though the meat helpings were a bit small. But the trout was very tasty and the lamb şiş was super!
