A lunchtime visit was in order this time around, and we tried some different starters. The rice paper rolls were fresh and made well, and the mini savoury pancakes were delicious. We couldn't go without the beef pho though, Its still the best broth I've had in Sydney, and we weren't let down this time either. Do yourself a favour, and get down to Camden. Yum!

I have eaten here many times and its been a really great experience, but my last visit was last night and something is not right. Japanese food to me means fresh sashimi among other things and these guys were really good. The menu is now plastered with little stick tabs blanking out most of the food. Instead of salmon, kingfish and tuna shasimi now all thats left is salmon. Where there once were beutuful pieces of fish, there were scrabbly left over bits. Times must be tough and they have reduced items from the menu to reduce cost.Unfortunately custom has suffered as a result. Last night on a Saturday there were four people in the dinning room where once there would have been 25 +. And they were all my party. They need to quickly lift thier game, or they will be going, going - GONE!Lastly, the place now plays sound "boom boom" music, not nice at all.Thank you so much for your honest feedback. I am very sorry we could not please you at the time and even made you disappointed. We will take this on board seriously and immediately and make improvement.Hope to serve you soon in near future again.

The takeaway service is one of the best in this area. No communications issues over the phone. Timeframes given are always spot on and the orders are always 100% correct. Portions are generous, vegetables are fresh and menu consistency well maintaned. Restaurant itself is busy during weekend periods so booking is recommended. Ideal for large party celebrations too. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area.

Friends took us to their favourite Thai restaurant Wednesday night and it was exceptional. I owe them big time. The food is cooked in sight of diners so you can watch everything if you choose. This fits with the Thai belief eating alone is bad luck; eating should be a shared experience. Everything was freshly prepared and it showed in the taste. The curry puffs and spring rolls and vegetarian offerings were delightful especially the Massaman curry. The pork was delicious as was the seafood. If I was being picky the only criticism I could make is that the rice was served in an open dish and cooled quickly. The staff were very cheerful and seemed to enjoy their work and made us very welcome. There were 4 of us and we struggled to finish the servings even though we shared them. Great value for under $100

The restaurant made excellent use of a spacious Victorian/Edwardian house with it's cool high ceilings then spaciously divided into 3 main dining areas with additional al fresco. There is plenty of space for groups or the intimacy of couples without being crowded out by noise especially from invasive 'pings' of mobile phones and bored children. Rear parking a boon for Camden. Menu was considerate bringing dietary needs/allergies into the equation although we found it lacking a sense of originality for those who seriously enjoy Thai cuisine. Most entrees comprised of convenience foods and our curries had that distinct 'commercial' flavour that dampened the palate to the point of very ordinary. Portions however were excellent and taking everything into consideration pricing structure proved reasonable with 2 courses for 2 persons ranging from $55 upwards. BYO is a plus as well. Customer service is friendly but minimal. A little more social interaction with customers and finesse could work wonders for the tip jar! Request a break between courses otherwise food is piled onto the table regardless. No upsells of dessert offered and there was a distinct aura of no lingering over wine after a meal. Recommended for cheap eats and groups with eat and run in mind.

We have never dined in this restaurant but regularly get takeaway. We have rarely had a bad meal and are usually very happy with our order. We really like the chilli combination and the schezuan chicken. Mongolian beef is a winner and they do a really good Hot and Sour soup. Give them a go for takeaway ao delivery.

We ordered take away honey king prawns, lemon chicken, bbq pork in plum sauce. The pork plum sauce was grey and gluggy (usually reddish). It was not edible. The pork was soggy and grey itself and just looked not right. The fried prawns and chicken must have been cooked in old oil because it just tasted of that strong old oil taste. We ended up giving the dinner to our dog because it was just so inedible.

We've been after a local Chinese restaurant for a while and after reading the reviews on here, we thought we'd check it out.The staff were friendly and a complimentary bowl of nuts & noodles when we got there was a nice touch. We ordered 4 dishes and a fried rice, and two of them were great and two were average. The Mongolian lamb and satay chicken were the two better dishes, while the salt and pepper squid and garlic king prawns were ok, but we've had better. The squid looked like a pre-packaged battered triangle out of a packet, and although pleasant and not over cooked and chewy, was nothing special. You could tell the dishes were aimed at an average Aussie palate, as they were missing the spice that you'd associate with dishes that normally come with a good chili hit- and that's what would've raised the lot. We'll go there again, but now we know which are good dishes to order and to try some of their other options to work out others that they do well!

As a lover of Japanese food and a good Teppanyaki performance, I was disappointed. Firstly the Chef didn't seme that interested in his performance, and secondly he only focused the performance on one side of the bench, leaving everyone else to just watch and try and catch what was being said. The performance it self was the usual catch the rice bowl and flying egg pieces, but what it lacked was the theatrics that I have experienced at other Teppanyaki. No Spinning eggs, no catching things in the Chefs hat, no silly gags, no salt writing, no multi language, just cooking from a disinterested chef.Funny thing though, at the end when our chef had finished and walked away and we continued to sit and eat, the performance at the other Teppanyaki bench started by another chef and it was far more entertaining to watch. The other chef had much more enthusiasm, and was far happier and entertaining. The staff on the floor were very accommodating and quick to serve. If you order a cocktail, be warned that they don't strain the passion fruit seeds out, so you wont be able to suck any of the cocktail up the straw as it will be blocked by the seeds. On a positive note, the food tasted fantastic and was in larger potions then I am used to at Teppanyaki.

If you want to go on a busy night get there early or book ahead, as the dining area is very small and basic. The staff were very friendly and the food came out in reasonable time. Some of the dishes were authentic Malaysian, others were Malaysian with a twist, but all were very nice and worth the visit. The coconut rice was a bit gluggy, but the main dishes and entrees were very good. I'd recommend it, but stick to normal steamed rice, or a nasi goreng dish to eat with the dishes.
