We love going first thing in the morning to get the freshest pastries. Try the chocolate croissants, the pecan danish and the cheese danishes. My 5 year old recommends the oatmeal raisin cookies. We have not tried one thing from this place that we did not love. The chocolate chip pecan cookies are good also. They have helped us when we have had deaths in the family we can call them and they will put together an arrangement to keep at the house. If you need to place your order give them a day or so but they are worth it.

We wanted a place to meet between our locations and Camden was in the middle. I chose this restaurant based on reviews and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. I would make a special trip to eat here when I'm back in town.

We were traveling back roads and ended up in Camden, South Carolina. We found Sam Kendalls on Tripadvisor and wowsa! What a wonderful surprise! The 1875 building is beautifully restored into a fabulous restaurant. Our steak and trout were delicious. Our waitress, Deja, was fantastic....MoreWe're glad you found us, Mary Ann! Thank you for the kind review and we hope to see you again in the future if you decide to pass through.

Homemade ice cream and made from scratch cupcakes and other baked goods made right here in our kitchen! Cupcakes are made daily with real butter and no Crisco. We take special orders for birthdays and other occasions! We also have hot dogs and pizza to enjoy before diving into some sweets!
Dropped in on a hot afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The two friendly ladies were helpful with a request to taste several flavors. All were good so we settled on the chocolate fudge and red velvet cake. Scoops were full, prices were average, and butter content high.

Great place for lunch. Service is fast and the staff is very friendly. Food is really good! It's really popular at lunch time so you might want to go early or late to avoid the rush. It's also open on Monday which is a big plus.

We discovered this little ice cream parlot a few months ago and have been there many times since then. John and Sandy (the owners) absolutely make "HANDS DOWN'" the best and biggest banana splits arounds. And their Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream is to die for!!!! I love it!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They are open until 8pm Tues-Sat, til 6 on Sundays, and closed on Mon. We stop by for the ice cream and fab waffle cone along with banana splits at least 4 times a month. ENJOY!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

At FATZ, we serve your favorite American fare with a delicious twist. From steaks to seafood, treat your taste buds to the flavors of FATZ.FATZ is committed to the highest standards of fresh quality food preparation with the finest of ingredients.
I like Fatz. Happy to have them in town. Good food. Great Sangria. Yeasty rolls with honey butter that will make you gain weight just looking at them but they are so tasty you can't resist. Friendly and helpful staff. Generous portions and a varied menu. I LOVE the baked sweet potato and always upgrade my side to include the sweet potato. But, alas, I can't return because the tables are disgusting.
Don't get me wrong, they MAY pose no health hazard. For all I know, you could swab the table tops and get no growth in a petri dish. They could be so biologically clean you could autoclave them and they couldn't be more sterile. But they are GROSS. There is a build up of something on the table tops that is sticky. Sure, if this were a cruise ship, that would be a plus in rough seas. But this is FATZ! When you lift a plate off the table, it's sticking enough to create a "snick" sound when the plate's pried off. If you push the menu down on the table top it will adhere so even a gale force wind might not loosen the grip. I wish I could glue my house roof shingles down with this stuff before the next hurricane.
When I last visited, I wanted to go out to the truck and get a scraper and scrape off the residue, (cleaning solution gone bad and gelled?), to get down to the buried finish. When you run your hand over the table, it's simply disturbing. I tried to do this, but was too unnerved. We visited a few months ago and I noticed it... but figured it was just a one off. But on our recent return last month, it was still sticky city. Should have been completely fixed by the second visit.
Hence, the much lower rating I would ever otherwise give. Fix the table residue, let us know, and I'll return an give you a rating you would be pleased to see.

I went there last Friday night with my Son to celebrate the completion of his freshman year in high school. He made the Honor Roll and the Basketball Team!! I'm new to Camden so checked this website and yp.com and we decided on Hifalutin.
After the beer mushroom caps came that we ordered for our appetizer, we could not stomach the taste. Also, they were lukewarm and the tops were brown. Definitely spoiled. The live music had started and the guitarist could not carry a tune.
So I motioned a woman over and explained our dislike of these caps. I worked my way through college waiting tables, so I knew that the server should apologize and offer a suggestion for a replacement.
To my surprise, this woman said, "Fine!! I'll just take them away." Then she turned on her heel and left.
I was totally shocked!! It's not like I'm in some dive in NYC or Chicago! So I went to the hostess and told her we were leaving and why. Then I asked her to send my server outside because I wanted to tip him. (Of course, I'm a good tipper and he was very pleasant and helpful with the order.)
Our server came outside and I asked him to please send the Owner or the Manager out here. He said, "That was the Owner".
So we walked next door to Sam Kendalls and a had a wonderful dinner and excellent service. The Owner came by and he was delightful and glad we were enjoying our dining experience.
I can hardly wait to go back to Sam Kendalls!
The definition of Hifalutin is pompous or pretentious. Hence the name of her establishment.
I wouldn't recommend Hifalutin to my dog.

Rush's has great food and the best fries and chicken around. Our family loves the burgers and the quality of beef they choose. You know what to expect each visit and never will you be disappointed. Top notch in the fast food category! They are a little pricy compared to McDonalds but you will still be pleased. Glad they are a part of our community.

While visiting Camden with my 6 year old son we came across this restaurant in search of a local place for lunch and was not disappointed. The food was great (Cubano and chicken fingers) and there was plenty of space. The restaurant also had an ice cream section which my 6 year old enjoyed a lot. Parking was easy and is very close to many of the antique shops that is within easy walking distance. Enjoy!!!
