We visited this cafe a couple of years back and had to wait to get a table. This time we had the pick of the room and now I know why. We ordered the Paddock (over cooked fried eggs, stodgy beans, stale bacon) and corn fritters. Itâs hard to screw up corn fritters but these were totally inedible. Gluggy undercooked cakes of poorly mixed batter with very strange tasting corn. As soon as the manager noticed a barely touched plate of food, he didnât come near us for the remainder of our stay, eye contact studiously avoided. At least I know why the place is empty now.

A great place to try the wild game of Australia. We tried the Jack's game platter and got to sample kangaroo, wild boar, buffalo (different from American buffalo), crocodile, camel, and emu. And you can try steaks or other dishes with those meats. And the beef steaks were amazing. Seafood options are plenty too; Wife tried the barramundi and that was also delicious! Bigger selection of beers than most Australian restaurants. Try the local Western Australia beers on tap.

We went there for brunch and I have French toast with poached pear. That's the best french toast I ever had:- Great bread for the toast with char grilled surface, served with sweet barbeque bacon, salty caramel sauce, creamy custard, fresh strawberries and peppermint together with a nicely poached whole pear. Love the details and heart they have put into making this dish so delicious!! I knew it is going to be good after seeing all the review but it's another thing when you actually taste it!! Would definitely come again when i visit Perth in the future. The menu is full of other things I'd like to taste next time!!

We went here for lunch on a public holiday weekend. Upon entry we were advised to grab some menus and help ourselves to a table. We sat down and began reading, when we mustâve all inadvertently tuned into a very loud conversation on the next table. A staff member was discussing vegan and vegetarian with 2 male customers. Thatâs all fine, but it was so loud it dominated the area. Our 2 teenagers even said âlike, really....We donât need to hear your opinions guys!âWe werenât sure if we had to order at the counter or if the staff would come to us. Surely the guy would finish his convo soon and acknowledge us. Nope. So we moved tables so we could have our own conversations, ordered at the counter, had our meals delivered, and could still hear the discussion over the music. It wasnât the topic, it was the volume and the fact that we as customers were literally ignored by this guy for near on 20mins, when we did have a couple of questions. If he was on a break or was the manager, sit down and have a proper conversation, donât stand there like youâre supposed to be working. The burgers were nice and the meal overall represented good value for money. Weâll visit grillâd again but hope the service is a little more friendly next time.

If you are looking for a good or excellent steak if you are a wine lover Sentinel is your place. Large wine list Australian of course but others as well. The beef is very tender and tasty. On the negative side extremely noisy which means that clients are happy and a dining room not to be remembered except for the numerous wine bottles on the walls.

Attentive drink service. The platters of food were well presented, generous and tasty. Pizzas were exceptional. Most of my guests remarked on the quality of the food served. Thanks for making my birthday the special event I had hoped for.

Located over looking City Beach approx 30mins drive from Perth City, Odyssea has the views one can only dream of. After hearing about the place for a while and reading the great reviews here on TA we were lucky enough to be in Perth over the weekend. I called up early morning but was told no reservations were taken on the day , which is uunderstandable as they get a lot of walk ins and the booked table must have been full which is a good way to do it. We got there just after 8am and had no dramas with parking , we used the beach car park next door and didn't have to pay. We were greeted and asked to wait , after 1mins we were seated outside and told to help ourselfs to blankets ....this turned out to be the best bit of advice ever...it was freezing outside, even though the sun was out the wind was very chilly. Make sure you dress accordingly. What I noticed right away was the amount of staff working - I love this this and they were obviously expecting a busy day as I counted 6 at one stage just attending to the outside area. We ordered coffees , a milkshake and our food. The drinks came out in good time and the coffee was decent. The kid loved the chocolate milk . I asked for an extra cup of hot water and the lady brought me out a small teapot with water but it was very dirty , not sure how it got missed but it still had tea and stains running down the sides. My mind was taken off this as the food came out right in time. Our order- House made crumpet (kids ).Eggs Benny with beef brisket .Smashed avocado. The food was very well presented and all meals tasted fresh and hot. The stand out for us was the Eggs - they were cooked to absolute perfection ! Compliments to the chefs when it's due. Really impressed. The staff were all polite the young girls serving us were very enthusiastic but perhaps a bit inexperienced, no one came to check if our food or drinks were ok or if we were enjoying our meal, no big deal for brekky. We all had a wonderful breakfast and would recommend this place to everyone, couples, solo travelers and groups. Tip - it did get busy as we left so I would book if you go at peak time. If you plan to go early make sure you take a jumper - although the blankets did a great job. Great food , great surroundings and views lots of close parking and access, the kids menu is a great addition and good idea. Will come for dinner one evening and give it a go in a few weeks .âââââ

Cafe in King's Park. Open 7 days a week for coffee, breakfast and lunch. Cafe is nestled in stunning setting of Synergy Parklands in beautiful Kings Park. Ample free parking. Family friendly and great venue for group bookings. Takeaway available to enjoy
Great location and parking easy. Itâs a very noisy restaurant and you seem to rush your order as you line up to make your order and can only ask any questions as you pay.People are waiting to place there order so itâs a rushed and unpleasant experience. It is expensive for what you get and if your gluten intolerant not much choice or possibly âhelpâ with your order
