Left with a massive, delicious block of parmesan
Reviewed By EdA771Italian food in Cuba is often poor quality. Not here The Italian owner served us the food personally. The pizza was crispy, with beautiful thinly sliced ham on the top (again, difficult to come by in Cuba). We had black squid oil pasta, and also lasagna. There's a beautiful mango tree in the courtyard in the middle of the restaurant. The prices are much lower than one is accustomed to for good food in Havana (we got out of there for less than $20 - having drunk a couple of beers, and a couple of grapas too). The icing on the cake: I live and work in Havana. I like cooking, but hold of quality cheese is difficult (Cubans tend to like bland, plastic-like cheeses). I asked the owner if he knew where to buy parmesan. By chance he had bought a huge wheel of it that very day, that had arrived from Italy via Havana. He kindly offered to sell me a huge, 2kg chunk. It's now in my fridge, back home in Havana. I look forward to making my own Italian dishes - including my favourite spaghetti carbonara - with this delicious cheese.

It's a modern building with a lot of illumination and natural ventilation, a few terraces where you can take sun or shadow, as well as a beautiful view from the top of the house to the city, also has a reading room, a place for exercises, a smoker gallery, garage and other services as laundry service, pick up to the different station at your arrival, besides we offer free help to the guest for reservations and others needs. The both rooms it's acclimatized, has a private bathroom with cold or hot water, TV, a lovely and confortable bed, telephone and a small refrigerator. We included laundry, pick up and garage service and others.
Excellent Casa
Reviewed By ClachangirlThe Casa is a little way out of the city centre and attractions but more than makes up for it in welcome, standard of room, food and welcome. It’s up a steep flight of stairs so not easy with a large case but all on the level when you are inside. We had a great room, two good windows and a rear balcony, nice modern en-suite with good shower and toiletries. Breakfasts were lovely, fresh and plentiful. Served on a leafy plant filled balcony which was lovely. We did actually walk back from the centre one day so it is possible but in a hot climate not always easy!

Reviewed By Mick AThis was wird, old fashion looking for decoration of the rooms but very nice welcoming, all informations of what to do around, nice diner. Nice terrace. Ringing the bell anytime needed when we come back late. No key. We recommand.

Disappointing
Reviewed By Diane RYou certainly cannot get any more central as it is right on the main pedestrian street - although this meant our bus could not park outside so we had to trail our suitcases ourselves a few streets along and the cobbles damaged my wheels. The hotel itself is very well maintained and beautifully furnished. The staff were attentive and helpful and the breakfast room had a good range to eat and a stunning sunrise as well. I didn't give it 5 stars as I found my single room to be very small certainly compared to my others in Cuba and was quite claustrophobic. Maybe I was just unlucky with what was available. Smallest room I think I have ever had on holiday! (the step up to the toilet area was also annoying as was the noise outside)

La réservation a été transformée sans que nous n'ayons été informés : nous avons été dirigés en pleine nuit vers un autre casa particular avec une vague explication. Le standing du nouveau lieu d'accueil était inférieur à celui prévu et au prix payé, pas du tout comparable. La propriétaire de Casa Luna a "gagné" la différence de prix qui ne nous a été ni restituée, ni donnée à Rodolfo le nouveau logeur. Malgré la gentillesse de Rodolfo, cette mauvaise expérience a gâché les 2 premiers jours de notre séjour. Je ne recommande pas du tout Casa Luna et ses propriétaires qui se sont avérés être hautains et suffisants lorsque nous avons essayé de savoir ce qui s'était passé et obtenir le dédommagement qui nous était dû.

Feeling like home
Reviewed By JoNaEasyTownWe did enjoy our stay at Maria and Davids house. Lovely people with a great coffee which David will roast and grind on his own two times a week. We loved to sit in the courtyard and to talk to David and Maria which was a little adventureous because we did not speak Spanish and they did not speak English. However we got on very well.

Julio Antonio molto gentile anche se l'accordo era di 30 + 5 per la colazione invece abbiamo pagato 40 (può andare bene comunque). Ci ha procurato auto per transfer per Cayo Coco (un po' caro considerata la distanza - oltretutto andava come un pazzo/velocissimo anche in piena città-da brividi)

Lupe nos trató muy bien así como el resto de su familia. Desayunos copiosos con excelente fruta, todavía recuerdo el delicioso jugo de mango que nos preparó. La casa está muy cerca del centro por lo que es ideal para recorrer la ciudad a pie.

Casa colonial del año 1795 ubicada en el centro de la ciudad de camaguey. Cuba.Tres lindas habitaciones con baño privado , tv, minibar que dan a un lindo patio con mas de 100 especies de plantas. Sala saletas y comedores bien mantenidos con cosas coloniales, altos puntales de techo de maderas preciosas, cocinas coloniales , al igual que todo el mobiliario de la epoca colonial. Servicios de agua caliente y fria centralizada. Se hacen desayunos y comidas algusto del cliente y ala hora que deseen. Falicidad de reservar la casa por internet mediante el correos antes senalado. tenemos la ventajas de [poner otras camas dentro de la habitacion por ser estas habitaciones grandes, asi como elservicio de sbanas y toallas extra y cambiables diariamente. servicio de lavanderia a dispocicion del cliente , con precios minimos acobrar. Al frente de mi casa vive mi hijo que tiene el hospedaje ,Natural Caribe , que tiene dos habitaciones para rentar al estilo minimalista, donde hay parqueo.

Reviewed By Vermeren PGood: the casa has a nice inside “garden”, with lots of plants. The owner provided a map and is very friendly and talkative. To be improved: breakfast, dinner (too much but not tasty enough), cockroach in room, hard matresses. Disliked: The fan speed of the airconditioning could not be reduced: it was too noisy to be able to sleep (but turning it off is no option with the heat).

Construction from 1959 of rationalist style, inspired by a sketch of the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer. Located in a safe residential area. It has natural lighting and ventilation in the terraces and yard. With large rooms it is a perfect place for families and friends.
Excellent stop on the way to Santiago de Cuba
Reviewed By molen_71Large clean rooms, new airco, very good breakfast and very friendly owners. We visited this place twice on our Cuba round trip. Also great for a one night stop: close to the highway and has a restaurant on top.
