Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Peguera. Peguera (translation from Catalan: "oven tar"; and the spelling on official road signs) is a tourist town in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca (Mallorca in Spanish and Catalan), part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Staying in Paguera for three weeks and have been to Toscana 4 times already. The food is the best Italian we have ever had. No matter which dish we try they are all excellent. We will be going there again before we leave of that I am certain.

A small bistro type restaurant about 50m. up a side street (but well signed) about a dozen tables. It's small size gives it something of a chic and exclusive feel.Thge food is all Italian style, and the menu is not extensive, which I consider a good thing as there is more chance of food being freshly prepared. The welcome was warm and friendly, without being too pushy, and the ensuing service was excellent. We ate here twice, first time was salad and pizza - both excellent, both obviously freshly made. Second time was escalopes, large and cooked just right - they are not easy to get cooked without burning. Wine was average but we didn't pay a lot for it.One caveat for those eating here; be wary how much you order, portion sizes are generous. This little restaurant is a pleasant change from all the big multi-table places along the main street.

We are a modern style Italian specialising in homemade paste. We offer daily specials made from ingredients bought that day at market. We also offer a wide ranging wine list to suit all budgets.
We visited Verico in early October on an extremely busy Saturday evening. We had a large table booked & for ease of ordering, all went for the recommended four course dinner. The welcome was fine, the waiting staff friendly & efficient. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. The first course was good, stuffed courgette flowers, the second pasta course was flavoursome (albeit I am not a fan of al dente pasta) but the main fish course was served on a bed of vegetables which were blanched & so hard you couldn't eat them, let alone cut them with the blunt fish knife. I noticed most of our table left them (a couple of the men picked up the broccholi & crunched their way through...) The dessert course was a disappointment. Two of us chose the passionfruit panna cotta (we were told there were only two left...) but it was unrecognisable as such, just a sweet splodge & not set. We both ate a tiny bit & left it. So, for me, not a great culinary experience though to be fair to Verico I would try the restaurant again, maybe on a quieter night with a smaller table, when you can attract the waiter easily & try to put things right.Hello and thank you for your review. We are very sorry we did not meet your expectations . I hope you will give us another opportunity to improve your impression of us. Thank you and we hope to see you again
