Reviews on Steakhouse food in Pasadena, California, United States. Most famous for hosting the annual New Year's Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl, Pasadena is more than just a football town. Its extravagant City Hall boasts a beautiful Baroque dome, a courtyard garden and relaxing fountain. On South Orange Boulevard, known as Millionaires' Row, there are landmarked mansions to rival the most opulent homes of Beverly Hills. That chattering in the air is probably the local population of naturalized Red-crowned Amazon parrots.

A dim and slightly grungy restaurant with claims of high quality meat. We had the hook, shared between the two of us, which was just the right size. The beef was very good, excellent actually. Everything else was so-so. The glass of Cabernet Sauvignon I had there was very disappointing.

This was a cut above the usual high end chain steak houses. The service and wagu steaks sets this apart. The service was first class and the wagu steaks were amazing. Be prepared to spend given the service and steak quality.

I love going here and having empanadas, "Sweetbread or mollejas", the meat cuts are excellent and you cant go wrong accompanying your meals with a good Malbec. A must try if you are in the area.

Conveniently located on the corner of Arroyo and Marengo Boulevard, you'll find a place for locals and visitors to enjoy an exceptional selection of premium steaks and an expertly curated list of 100 wines by the glass.
The decoration and atmosphere in this restaurant itâs great and sofisticated. Yet the food and quality itâs not as high as you expect. Fish and meat are Ok but not as wonderful as in many other less expensive restaurants. The attention is exceptional and caring all the time. Although we had an issue with a baked potato that was not good because it was passed, when we ask why the potato was dark and blueish inside? He didnât recognize it was a kitchen mistake. Otherwise itâs well located and expect to pay extra in everything.

The waiter, rubin, was great! Jessica brought is the wine that we ordered and check on us through out our meal. Sent over an order of cornbread to our table. The food was great too. Had the liver; was cooked to perfection. My dinner partner had meatloaf which he said was great. I had the cup of white bean soup, which was the soup of the day. Awsome!

So, when I reserved this through Open Table, it didnt disclose it was a fixed menu. These are typically a horrible representation of a menu and grossly over priced. This was unfortunately no different. And look, I love the Royce. It's a great restaurant. But I took my family here for steak and to share a bunch of appetizers. Last night the only beef option was beef Wellington, which I wouldn't order ever. The meal was just a bummer. Dessert was a near frozen apple tart and peppermint panacotta with a unfortunate consistency. On the plus side, the service was excellent. So, take this review with a grain of salt. It doesn't reflect the usual menu, but that it wasnt disclosed it would be a fixed menu until we were seated really angered meDear RH,Thank you for sharing this valuable feedback, and we truly apologize that you found your holiday meal at The Royce not up to par. While we do note on OpenTable that our regular menu may not be available on holidays and include the prix-fixe on our website as the Christmas option, we understand the confusion and will discuss with our OpenTable rep how we may better ensure this information is made clearer in any way possible through that platform. I have also shared your comments with our Royce chef and team regarding the dishes served so that we can correct any issues immediately as we prepare for upcoming holidays. Again, we truly apologize and hope we will have a chance to welcome you in the future for an improved experience.Best Regards,Paul LeclercManaging Director
