We have been to this pizza place about 3 times now. We have always enjoyed their pizza and would like to try their bread stix next time. The pizza has great sauce and plenty of cheese and whatever toppings we have ordered. We went there after a Crab's game on a Tuesday and they have a great Tuesday deal. One large 2 topping pizza and a 2 liter for only $12.99. The service is quick and effecient. They have some games for the kids to play and a couple of tv's to watch while you wait. They even have a fireplace although I haven't been there when it was lit. The building inside is a little dark just because there aren't many windows but we can handle that for their good pizza. They have some large tables in the back for large parties. Overall this is a great place to go for a great pizza. I would recommend that people give it a try!

This is great pizza! We're vegetarians and really like the combos Smug's makes for people like us -- with ingredients like artichoke hearts, olives, and sundried tomatoes. Smug's is low on atmosphere -- they are little hole-in-the-wall places with no seating -- but high on flavor.

If you like thin crust, New York style pizza then this is your destination. If you want thick, gooey, pre-frozen commercial cardboard then keep moving. Pizzas are made fresh right in front of you. Very large slices that you fold and enjoy. Great service, even better taste!

We're pretty used to the best pizza, so when this was recommended, we were ready to compare. We had the BBQ Chicken pizza and the Van Gogh and were more than pleased with both! Make sure if you have a hankering for pizza, to highly consider this establishment!

We asked friends (some are HSU students) which pizza place we should go to have pizza and they all said Arcata Pizza and Deli. They were right. When we need to satisfy that pizza craving, this is our go-to place. Everything is fresh (I particularly like the Mediterranean with fresh feta and basil.) They make every slice fresh so donât be in a big hurry- it is worth the wait. You can also call it in ahead of time. I also had a calzone and thought it would be like other places, about the size of an empanada- but it filled me for 3 lunches!!!! Huge!Great salads and excellent choice of local beers. Really nice staff.

Mazzotti's on the Plaza features an exquisite menu, with exciting daily specials. In addition to beer and wine, we offer a full service bar. Seating at the bar in Arcata provides a comfortable place to wait for friends or a table. The atmosphere is warm a
I really want to love this restaurant - the atmosphere is great, especially for a family but the food consistently is only okay. I've eaten here multiple times over the years since they opened up on the plaza, as well as multiple times at their old Eureka location. The Arcata location is spacious and accommodating, especially for a family with kids. The food is okay but it is nothing great, and for the cost of most of the dishes, they really need to figure out how to kick it up a notch or two. We ate here earlier this month for a big family outing. I knew in the back of my head the food would only be "okay" but we had 10-11 people in the party and it was no problem to get a reservation for a party of this size, so we went with it. Between all of us, we ordered a wide array of dishes, some of which were "pretty good", others somewhere between okay and good, and others just flat out bad. The worst was their supposed vegetable soup, which the waiter said was essentially like a minestrone. It was completely inedible - hard to imagine how you can screw up minestrone more than this but it was clear whoever made it never tasted it. An Italian restaurant should nail minestrone with their eyes closed. The salads were okay but nothing special - with all the great local produce options in this area, they really need to figure out how to do a salad right. My son ordered tortellini, which was pretty good - I don';t think it was homemade but it was good enough to pass. My father-in-law ordered the ravioli, which looked homemade and better than I've experienced here in the past. My daughter ordered a salmon dinner on polenta - the salmon was good and cooked correctly but the polenta was inedible...again, an Italian restaurant needs to figure out polenta correctly - this wasn't even close. Someone else ordered spaghetti, which was basically store-bought noodles with some marinara sauce. The sauce was fine but for the prices they charge and for being an Italian restaurant, they really should figure out homemade pasta - it's not difficult. Instead what they served is something anyone could easily make in their kitchen.I keep hoping someday this place will kick up their cuisine to make this place worth dining out here. Until then, as much as I want to like the place, I won't fool myself again into thinking it's worth the cost.

This is by far the best Round Table Pizza we've eaten at in maybe forever. The pizza wasn't just fresh, but it was built with pride. It was a perfect pizza! In both looks and taste. Not at all greasy, and every veggie was fresh. The salad was equally as fresh and good. We lucked out, because it's in the shopping center across from our motel. We thanked the owner for everything. He has done a fabulous job with this place. Recommended for sure.

I like this place on occasion when I need a quick slice of pizza and the folks working here are always nice. The pizza itself is nothing special - if you happen to get a slice when the pizza first comes out of the oven then it's not too bad but otherwise it's fair at best. It's not bad but not great either. It works fine for a quick in and out when I'm hungry and given there are minimal other pizza options in McKinleyville, it works fine but don't expect anything special.
Pizza is my "junk food" so I like to go to the All You Can Eat Pizza/Salad Bar on Tuesday Nights. 5-8 PM. Good variety of Pizza and Salad choices.
