There were five of us at the table and all of us agreed this was truly an authentic place to enjoy an amazing meal. Piping hot tortillas, delicious salsa, cheese enchiladas and pollo asado....I'm in heaven! Delightful staff, very friendly people and prompt service. Will return soon!

Tucked into a spot next to a feed store on quiet Yajome Street in Napa, Las Palmas evokes a beachside restaurant in Mexico. Bougainvillea brightens the enclosed front patio and the âpalmasâ are indoor pillars, cleverly wrapped in hemp rope with plastic fronds overhead actually giving a feeling of real trees.A chalkboard displays nightly specials, one section of which isnât Mexican, but Asian, reflecting the chefâs previous restaurant stints. Spanish fills the air and the TV is tuned to a lively Mexican station. Many customers appear to be regulars. The food is predictably very good and includes quality ingredients like Maryâs chicken. Diners are even offered three choices of beans. But the standout dish among the four of us was the shrimp âcoctel,â loaded with plump shrimp and chucks of avocado in a spicy tomato soup reminiscent of gazpacho. Delicioso!

A reasonable stopping point for a quick bite off Highway 29. Big portions so don't over order. Nachos served with beans, jalepenos, Monterey jack cheese was a meal in itself and we shared a portion. The burgers looked so huge we opted for a salad each - I went for the bay shrimp, which was served with lettuce, tomato, sliced egg and a thick creamy dressing. It was a big serving and more than enough. Nothing special about the premises or the food but little wrong with it, either. Service was quick and friendly, price was reasonable and we left satisfied.

This place is awesome. They have a full bar that is packed with locals after work. Their food is excellent. Fresh cooked hot chips and an excellent salsa. I had the steak encebollado onions and melted cheese on top of a grilled steak. It was delicious. Everyone else loved their meals too. The margaritas were really good. They have done lunch dishes we will be sure to come back and try.

This is a great spot for a quick meal. Food is not fancy but very tasty and the service was very personable. Would highly recommend the guacamole. Very fresh and full of flavor.

This place is great. My wife and I wanted to eat good/inexpensive food so we could spend our budget on wines. This place exceeded our expectations. It came recommended by a local and we owe her for the heads up. My wife had a taco salad and I had a burrito. The meats were delicious and portions generous. Didn't expect to find this so close to downtown in napa. Well worth a visit!

I saw some of the reviews about being a family place, they were right. Inside and outside seating, most families with little kids were outside. Some seating along river on warm days. I had the chili relleno, which was so good, salsa nice and spicy. The staff very nice and plenty of help.

We live on the Peninsula and have our choice of high quality Mexican restaurants. Gran Electrica in Napa was outstanding in every way. The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. They have an outstanding collection of tequila and mezcal, and the Mole Amarillo Con Pollo was the best mole dish I've had anywhere!

Don Perico serves decent selection of Tex-Mex dishes. The service was good, and the food average (not bad, not outstanding). Plenty of chips and salsa (the chips were very good). If you are hankering for inexpensive Tex-Mex food this is an OK stop and decent quality for the money.
