My wife just ate here while vacationing from NC and meeting with two of our local friends. They recommend this restaurant and said it's a small out of line light restaurant, but it has great food. And they were absolutely right! The food was delicious! We had breaded shrimp & arroz con pollo. Everything was well prepared and big portions (we had to use to go boxes because we couldn't finish). The staff was super attentive and checked in on us regularly for drink refills and chips. I highly recommend this fine authentic Mexican restaurant if you're visiting Oceanside/Camp Pendleton. It's right outside the back gate.

Mexican themed with lots of choices of the familiar Mexican foods but also a number of good burgers too. Pleasant rustic decor, but I'd move the modern coke and power drink refrigerators out of view as they totally clash. Pleasant staff. Fair prices a bit lower than average. They close at 7...wish they were open later!

The food is usual Mexican fair, but the tomatillo sauce is to die for! People come in special just to buy the sauce and chips. They have an outdoor patio and a small inside eating area. The lemonade is actually a lemonade slushy and very good. It is inexpensive and well worth a visit.

We have seen this restaurant in Fallbrook many times, but have never ventured in, until now. It was a Sunday, early afternoon, and the place was hopping. My husband and I each ordered one taco, just as a test, and we weren't disappointed. The carne asada was tender and tasty. The fish taco was fabulous! It was fried to a beautiful and crispy finish, was topped with a flavorful sauce and topped off with just the right amount of greens. Both of our tacos were served hot off the grill on thick corn tortillas. We both were very impressed. The only minor drawback was the slow service, but as I said earlier, the restaurant was very, very busy. We will definitely visit this place again.

Stopped in for happy hour one Friday afternoon. Was a great place, nice selection of beer, appetizers, and entrees on the menu. Plenty of room to accommodate the clientele and we weren't rushed. Lively atmosphere but not overwhelmingly loud at all. Bartender was outgoing, as was Brett...glad to tell us about the place and shared suggestions of what to order when we asked him. Salsa is a home run, especially paired with flour chips. We returned on Saturday night, when our server turned on the Bruins/Kings hockey game for us. Our drinks stayed full, we had plenty of delicious food, friendly staffers checked on us frequently, and an enjoyable experience all around. Will definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood.

The carnitas meal was to die for. Great flavor and service. My friend had the carne asada plate and it as great also.

This is a really nice set up place with excellent service by all the staff. Unfortunately the food is just average. Itâs authentic American style Mexican food. Not bad at all but nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary for good Mexican places in the surrounding areas. It is worth it to experience the location for indoor and outdoor seating or parties.
