This sushi restaurant has a sizeable menu with many choices. The wait staff was very friendly and patient, especially with navigating the menu. Food superb, prices great, making for an affordable meal. Flavorful meat choices, we all had bento boxes and even the salad dressing was a hit!

I wish you could give a ZERO star rating because that is exactly what I would give this place! The customer service here is HORRIBLE! We ordered 3 rolls and a bento box. After 35 min of waiting, we received only the California roll. A bunch of people had come in after us, ordered, received their meal and almost finished it and we still hadn't gotten our meal. So after 45 min we flagged down our server and asked about our food. She gave us some lame excuse about how the sushi takes longer to make. But couldn't explain why the tables next to us who ordered food & SUSHI after us had already finished their meal. She then goes to ask how much longer it would take and came back saying it would be another 10 min! 55 min to get 3 rolls and a chicken teriyaki bento box?! Are you kidding me?! We told her to just cancel our order and we would just pay for the drinks that we ordered. We hadn't touched the tiny side order of Ca roll that they brought out (part of the bento box) so she agrees. Then the OWNER, Anthony, comes rushing to our table and starts telling us that it's busy and we shouldn't expect for our food to be ready so soon. Ummmm dude, it's been almost an hour. So we let him know how long we've waited and he has the nerve to say that if we went to any other Japanese restaurant it would take over 40 min to get our food too. Pretty ironic because guess what....My family has OWNED a Japanese restaurant! Lol. So when I tell him that's a lie and that I know first hand it shouldn't take so long he has the nerve to say "well it must not be any good then if it's not busy!" Actually, it's called efficient, productive and good customer service. It's called hiring enough people to be sure that you can serve the customers in a timely manner. I don't understand how a teeny tiny restaurant with like 10 tables can be soooo "busy" (which it's actually not, it's just that the place is so small that it fills up quick and they don't have enough staff to run it) and it's absolutely ridiculous that an owner of an establishment could be so rude to a customer. Never did he apologize for the wait. Never did he try to fix the issue. Instead he insinuates that the authentic Japanese restaurant that we owned (which we won many times in diablo magazine for best sushi and best Japanese restaurant might I add ;) wasn't "busy" and "not even good!" Haha it's hilarious. Sorry but I love teriyaki is definitely not authentic and definitely not Japanese owned. The food is terrible. I've never had a good experience there and the prices are too much for the quality of food. The miso soup is watered down, the fish is not fresh, the teriyaki is comparable to fast food. Disgusting. I would never recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy. Well, actually maybe. After reading the other reviews, more than a handful of them complained about getting food poisoning lol.
Everyday can be a learning experience. Today, I learned, thru friends that I have yet again driven by a wonderful sushi restaurant many time and did not know it.Momoyama, is in a random strip mall, but locals know. I found the offerings plentiful and ingredients very fresh. Our lunch included free soup, salad and appetizer sampling.Tip: There is plenty of parking in the back. Also randomly there is a store next to this restaurant that deserves a mention, they grow coral for fish tanks and it's cool to check out:)

This is a very popular sushi restaurant and I find it to be a great place for getting Bento boxes...I've always tried their cucumber/avocado bentos - the portions are generous and the food is good. Prices are reasonable and service is quite friendly as well. You can call in advance as well and pickup the order.

We have been going to Tachi for years... Since they were in their old location prior to the shopping center upgrade. I have to say I have a sushi problem... As in, I love the stuff so much that I have eaten it as dessert. This place is my absolute favorite. Our whole family loves it...even the non sushi eaters. Their teriyaki chicken/tempura combo is a favorite. We also love their green beans (in a sesame sauce). They have delicious salad dressing. They have fabulous specially rolls. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area. It is very close to the Concord Pavillion if you are planning to go to a concert and want to have a yummy dinner.

Definitely not fancy sushi, but very fresh and such a large variety, topped by dumplings, tempuras and deserts. Simply amazing!Even taking not more than one piece each, I was full before I reached half of what the buffet offered All for less than $25... Unbeatable valueWill come back there for sure

I wasn't that impressed with this place, even after hearing great things. They had a few wines to choose from, but only 1 available. The miso soup was watery... and it was hard to tell which rolls were deep fried. Thankfully the women gave a great recommendation on a roll, but it was sliced so thin and fell apart easily. All together it seemed over priced, especially the sake.
