Relatively new. I think it opened about 6 montha ago? It's got great food at great prices - it's answered my prayers for a great Chinese restaurant here on the San Mateo County coast. Mango chicken is to die for, and only $8.
Having been to China a handful of times, my palate has little tolerance for the non-authentic Americanized version of Chinese food. This is my "go to" Chinese place on the Coastside. It is a small place (perhaps 10 tables) with a large menu and a vigorous take-out and delivery business. The chefs were speaking Chinese. The service is very friendly and the food is very good and very authentic; portions are large. My favorites are the Mongolian beef, the salt and pepper chicken wings, and the crispy duck. There is also an extensive vegetarian menu. If you are on the Coastside and have a yen for Chinese food, this is your place.

For sashimi lovers, Monster Chef with All-You-Can-Eat for weekend lunch at $29 is a steal. Sashimi of all kinds are fresh. Many cooked food dishes: deep fried baby octopus & clam in broth are good. Add $7 AYCD sake or beer. Add $10 for Uni or Toro. For 4 of us, we split 28 orders for $50 each. Tuna from Pacific is not as rich & firm as that of Atlantic. Excellent value especially with a bunch of hungry boys. Service is attentive & friendly.

Service needed a bit more training maybe...? Felt as though one person knew how to treat customers while the other ten people working were inconvenienced by having us be there. Presentation was well done and they serve a tight roll, but I'm afraid I wouldn't return unless it was take out. Nothing that can't be fixed, and for the price, it was very good.

Brand new restaurant -- opened 12/17/2010. In the Safeway plaza in Half Moon Bay, CA. 650-726-6610
The food was just OK. Service was friendly. I probably wouldn't go back though. There seemed to be quite a few people ordering take-out, so maybe I just had a bland dish.

This place is mobbed on Christmas, and open late. You'll find a combination of traditional Chinese dishes and Thai. Both are reasonably well done. The prices are moderate but depend on what you order. You can take out. Lots of dishes for vegetarians. Its right on the coast highway -- easy to find.

When Spice Me first opened a block off Main Street, I worried that no one would find it. Was I ever wrong: it quickly became the go-to place for lunch. Everything is made to order and delicious. Take a look at their luncheon menus with plenty of food reasonably priced. This is a place where you can eat every day and not be bored.

My wife and I had lunch. We started with absolutely fantastic vegetable samosas. The flavors were the best we have experienced. I had the vegetarian aloe eggplant. The dish was perfectly cooked and well spiced. My wife had vegetarian biryani. There was enough for her plus breakfast for two. The mango lassi was delicious.Service was good

We often pop in here for lunch and the fare has drastically improved in recent months, very fresh and flavorful, from the rolls to the soup and salads. My only complaint is they are completely inflexible about the menu unlike most sushi restaurants I frequent. For example, I wanted to order the sushi lunch special and change out eel for my favorite yellow-tail. The waitress had to go check with the chef who said "NO" despite the fact I offered to pay more for it. Kind of lame, but otherwise, a sure bet for local sushi and much better than the option on Main Street.
