I came here with a friend to have lunch whilst in the area. Iâm not the biggest fan of Mexican food however this restaurant did an excellent job and convincing me otherwise. Firstly the restaurant its self is immaculately clean and fresh, making it attractive. Secondly the staff were very attentive, welcoming and knowledgable. The food was very good and fresh. For some odd reason there was no guacamole due to lack of avocados(?!) which seemed somewhat questionable especially due to the area but the meal was very good and the chips and salsa were excellent, very moorish. My only regret was perhaps having ordered the wrong thing and not looking further through the menu as they have a great variety. A great go to option for sure .

Stopped here for lunch while passing through and found the food to be only OK. I had the taco platter (two tacos [one beef, one chicken], with rice and refried beans). On the upside, the tortillas are freshly made, but a bit thick for my tastes. The taco fillings were pretty standard, but weren't very warm by the time I was served. Rice and beans were, also, pretty standard fare. The various salsa I tried appeared to be house made, but weren't very distinctive. Overall ... pretty average.

I love eating with friends on the patio at Dos Carlitos. If you like jalapeno margaritas, try the serrano pepper margaritas at Dos Carlitos. I think the flavor is a little nicer than jalapenos and they still have that nice spicy kick. The guacamole is usually, but not always, top notch. It's fun to share. I have enjoyed everything I've ever eaten there. But, I think my favorite is the Chicken Mole dinner. They must have a maser mole sauce maker on staff. My favorite dessert is the flan. It's amazing!.

Old, tired, dirty, and expensive. Waitress could not wait for our order even though we were only 2nd customers in dining room. Ordered wine for 1, beer for another. Wine arrived, beer didn't. Waitress seemed uninterested. Ordered 2 specials, Fish Tacos. Waitress offered beans and rice as part of meal with mo mention of up charge. Bill presented showed charge of 5 dollars for Minute Rice and spoon full of bean glop. Visited restroom to find filth and dirt that, I'm sure, hadn't been cleaned for months. Find any other place. Positive reviews must be relatives or owners. Stay away!

Donât be fooled by the unassuming small building. This is excellent food, crafted with care and creativity. Sauces are nuanced. Meats are tender and flavorful. Cheese is used with restraint so it doesnât overwhelm the other flavors. Beans are served in a crispy tortilla bowl. Even the side salad is better than expected, with lettuces and spinach and corn and oranges and cranberries. One of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever visited.

Found this "take-out" restaurant because of its proximity to the Marriott Santa Ynez. A few seats inside and several covered tables in front. Large menu and good food. I've had better, but not in Buellton and it's hands-down better than the Taco Bell down the block.

We walked in early around 11:00 AM and no one was there...That is always a bit scaryOnce we ordered (Chirizo and eggs plate) breakfast burrito it seemed the cars started parking.Everything was very good, nice salsa bar, fresh tortillas. Good road stop for sure

Huge platters of tacos, chile rellenos, enchiladas and fajitas arrived quickly with sides of tasty rice and beans. Very inexpensive and well prepared. Seating is best on back patio or air conditioned interior if itâs hot. Very happy regular clientele lined up for lunch on a recent Saturday. Staff is pleasant and hardworking.
