With a limited selection and everything sitting under heat lamps, one should not get their hopes up for really good dim sum. But the individual pieces are larger than average and the flavor is more than satisfactory. This would be the place to go when one wants a high protein meal and doesn't want to wait. Oh, and wants something Chinese. There is a larger buffet area as well as roast pork, roast duck, marinated pork, and roast chicken. There is a small eating area and everything is available for takeout.

Confused??? It's 2 Northern Chinese restauranteurs with 2 similar sounding surnames of different strokes and thereby LULU was born specializes in northern spicy cuisine. The kitchen is artistically decorated with Chinese arts by Mr. Lui, the affable frontman/owner who apparently is a regular in the Goodwill nest door. The food...sweet, sour, salty and spicy..., deliciously innovative, amazingly tasty and big bold portions, kept coming from the kitchen crowding our large table. In between popped the ever affable Mr.Lui anxiously enquiring about the food. The meal ended with a special desert which even I, the unappreciator of Chinese desserts, gobbled it down with licks of the spoon. On another date, we went back for lunch and the food was just as good and yummy. Of course the affable Mr.Lui always made us felt welcome and comfortable like eating in Mom's kitchen.

We had dim sum lunch here and the food was fresh, hot, good portions, and many variety. Food was delicious and fulfilling. Plenty of parking. Service was friendly and attentive; dim sum cart came around frequently, our teapot was checked and empty steamers were removed right away. If we want dim sum in this area we'll come back.

Ate here recently and found the lunch menu to offer a wide variety of wonderful meal selections including chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. Along with the choice came soup, rice and chow mein. All well prepared, served quickly and very inexpensive. It was a great lunch for a cold day.
Very unique experience of delicious and steamy Chinese food in Concord CA! The boiling soup base was very nicely seasoned, fresh chicken, shrimp, broccoli and Bok Choy that you keep cooking on the table for yourself. They had the best spicy sausages and lamb skewers. Style of a new way of dining: if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in the USA this is the place to go. Service is fast, friendly and professional .

I'm a big fan of Asian Cuisine I'm back in California on holiday from Thailand and a friend called up and said let's go to lunch. This was our choice of venue very pleasantly surprised the food was really really well-prepared everything was appealing looking and very tasty tremendous selection. The restaurant itself was nicely laid out very clean everything very convenient the staff was very accommodating. I've been to a few of these Asian buffets in various cities around California this is easily the best I have been in I will definitely return on subsequent trips. $22 for two of us and we each had a drink soft drinks so I'm guessing the buffet itself was around nine and a half dollars a piece a real bargain.

This restaurant was a remodeled car hop fast food joint. Not fancy inside. We had prawn and walnuts, but the best dish was the sizzling plate of beef and scallops. The scallops were tender as was the beef. Lots of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. The shrimp were piping hot. The place was busy with take out and the wait a bit long, so they brought out a freebie appetizer of a spring roll. We would definitely return if in the area.
