We were exhausted from driving and found this place within walking distance from our motel, so we gave it a try. The service was good, steaks delicious, Delmonico potatoes were an unexpected treat, salad fresh and the cabernet delicious! Thank goodness we found this gem!

My friends meal was perfect. I ordered the turkey dinner and asked for the gravy on the side. I got it covered in gravy, not once, but twice. I agreed to accept it as it was and both of us were given large discounts on our meals. Our server was very good. I guess it was just too late in the day (a half hour before closing). I would most likely try this restaurant again if I lived near Susanville, but I live in New York State.

We went there because we had to get our tires fixed. What a pleasant surprise. We ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich, a Toledo deluxe and a chicken burrito. The bread seemed to be hand made, sandwiches were good size and very flavorful. The burrito was humongous, weighing over 1 pound. The prices were very reasonable. If we are in the area again we will make a point at stopping here again.

My wife and I are from far away from Susanville and were to bring a dish to a graduation gathering. We decided to avoid a home made dish out of concern for food safety problems that could occur during the travel with warm conditions. The Safeway deli was great for a selection of pasta, potato salad, deli meats and cheeses. The food was great and well received by all.

We entered Susanville hungry and grouchy. I swerved left across the highway and parked a little crookedly at the Frosty Mill because everyone else did too. We were first in line, but the line grew as we ordered. Workmen, cowboys, and teenagers were in full attendance. My basic hamburger was an exact duplicate of what I remember as a kid in the 1960's. The French fries were the best I've had anywhere; period. The real thing is still alive in the USA right here! Thank you Frosty Mill for being just as you are!

The service was welcoming and excellent. Food was very good for the price, coffee excellent. The service was fast, an made you feel good to be there. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also ate lunch there on my return home trip.
