Fantastic sushi place in Rancho. I used to live in Pasadena and had many choices for fine Sushi, Rancho was an abrupt end to that until Omokase! First off, the roll selection is huge. Many other places around here dont offer the variety that Omokase does. Plenty of hot, fresh and tempura rolls to choose from. They are large too, almost two bites, definitely not skimping. Service was quick. We noticed this large table beer keg thing on some of the tables. Appears as though they fill the middle with ice, then surround that with beer and put it on the table for about 3-4 glasses of gold beer for the table. I will have to try that next time. Also, they have a killer happy hour, I saw $1 beers advertised! Highly recommended!
We had a Friday dinner here while staying near the airport. The sushi rolls were good. The soft shelled crab was tiny for the price. We had the sashimi combo. 5 types and fresh although the cuts were thick. The wait staff was very accommodating. I would not seek this place out but we did not find much other choice in the area being used to better dining in San Francisco and San Diego. Altogether not a bad place for an evening snack.

We had excellent drinks, firecracker roll, Tokyo Wako roll, seared steak, sea urchin with musago and quail egg and special sauce (allegedly and actually an aphrodisiac). Great fun waitress Cindy and sushi chef Brian, both of whom were really fun to talk to and knew their food and drink. If you donât have a good time here and enjoy the food you might have a brain tumor, or maybe just a bad attitude.

Good dining experience overall but not excellent. It is nice to have a Japanese Restaurant inside Victoria Gardens. We had the seasonal cocktails of Pom Fizz and Spiked Matcha which were both good, but watered down. We had Sushi/Sashimi combination and Tonkatsu with Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura. The tempura was really delicious, and spicy tuna rolls and miso soup were good too. The sushi was decent but not top notch. Recommended if you are in the mood forJapanese food in Victoria Garden. Not too bad.

Good conveyor-belt sushi at good prices. Just get seated and start picking your choices off the conveyor belt. To inform you about what it is you are looking at, there are small signs just before the sushi item which tells you what it is and the price. Your final food bill is based on the number of plates you have on your table at the end of your meal. Decent prices IMHO. I will return here when I'm in the neighborhood again.

This restaurant has seriously been the best sushi I have had in the country! And I am from Florida. Everything they have is beyond fresh, great flavor and well put together. This most recent visit was a little concerning as the owner is stepping down and letting his children run the business. The new and young servers did not know answers to our sushi questions, could not explain what type of fish the specials were and delivered an appetizer to our table and said 'I don't know what this is but it looks great.' Who says that? We also had a hard time getting all the rolls we order delivered correctly but everything did eventually come out over a 30 minute time frame. I hope this new management and crew can figure out their kinks and get back to the way used to be. The amazing sushi has not changed quality.
