Things to do in Chino
Atmosphere: Large open space inside and a large patio outside. Bar area has 2 small T.V.s for sports. We sat in the dining room area and it was fairly quiet, we had no problem having a conversation. The chairs however were horribly uncomfortable!Food: The grass fed burger was just ok. The side salad was very simple with just mixed greens and balsamic drizzle.. I liked it. The herb crusted tenderloin (filet) was excellent! Our side order of roasted vegetables was perfect ($8) and I will probably order that every time! Service: Our server was friendly and helpful. We chatted a bit with the owner/butcher.. super nice guy. We'll be back soon to try some more dishes.

Meal was what was expected. Seafood presented in such a way that you eat it with your fingers. Looks messy but the experience brings back the primal way our caveman forefathers ate. Staff provided advice and everything to clean up afterwards.Reasonable price too!

Three of us friends ate here last evening and it was delicious!! Two of us had the kabobs: chicken, shrimp, and filet mignon. All tender and flavorful. Our other friend had the Mediterranean salad with chicken. Kabob meals came with rice and salads. We ordered a side of hummus that was very flavorful. COMPLAINT: the music was way too loud and hard to carry on a good conversation without raising our voices.

This used to be my favorite place to dine. A wonderful outdoor eating area and many healthy options including many fish and chicken entrees. They usually have a choice of two specials which is always really good deal. Self serve salsa and tortilla chips as well as an assortment of condiments help to make this fun and unique. On my last couple of visits however, I have been disappointed with the quality of the food. Its nothing special now and just so so. I have tried several different options and each one disappointing. I don't know what has happened. I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon. It does have such a lovely outdoor eating area which makes this especially disappointing.

Cock A Doodle is a family friendly restaurant that's been around for 60 years. Serving Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Dining room is in the front of the building and old-fashioned lounge in the back. We sell Califonia lottery tickets and have Karaoke Friday

Modeled after Las Vegas' Oyster Bar, entrees are prepared in Steam Kettles at the counter in front of you. Sauces are made from scratch so that spices can be tailored to your specific liking. High-pressured steam is pushed through pipes to the steam kettl
Wouldn't expect to find Louisiana style steam kettle cooking in a Chino Hills mall, so The Boiler was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant interior is fairly austere, but don't let that dissuade you from dining here --- the food is definitely worth it.The entrees are served in large porcelain bowls, and we opted for the shrimp scampi and the jambalaya. Both were delicious. A really nice feature was being able to order on a scale from 0 - 10. We stayed in the 2-3 range, which gave the flavors a nice piquancy without overwhelming them with heat. But if you want to go that direction, it's good to have the choice. We both went with the amber microbrew ---- good accompaniment. If you're still a hungry young'n, you may want to throw in a starter or salad to round out the meal, but for us older folks, just the entrée was more than enough. We paid $18 - $19 for our entrees and $7.75 for the beers, not cheap, but reasonable for the quality. Service was friendly and attentive. We appreciate you sharing your positive experience with everyone, and I hope to see you again in the near future.

I am sorry that we had never discovered this restaurant before now!!! We have lived in Chino for almost 40 years and had never eaten here before. The food is VERY GOOD!!! LOVED LOVED LOVED the tamales, the Margaritas, the light piano music and singer. It was a JOY with our Lovely Waitress Lupita! We have already been back several times and will continue to enjoy the ambiance and food at Los Portales! Our children knew all about it!
