Well....I had great expectations for this local, strip mall restaurant (located next door to 24 Hour Fitness) while consulting in Silicon Valley; my nephew-in-law, (a programmer for Linked-In) shared he goes here all the time for take out (it has a small unassuming open seating).I ordered three items to go:Baba Ghanouj (a tahini, eggplant and lemon dip)Chicken Shawerma Wrap and a Lamb & Beef Shawerma Wrapand I had a free slice of baklava for "checking in on Yelp" while I was there on-siteWhen I got back to Nephew's place with our to-go order, I was disappointed to note that they gave me the wrong Lamb & Beef combo! I should have checked my order before I left! Instead they gave me and charged me for the higher cost Lamb and Beef entrée plate! Waaaaaahhhh! To make matters worse, when I opened the plastic container, my colleague pointed out there was a fruit fly stuck in my humus side dish! Yuck! Really?!I found the beef and lamb very dry and unappetizing and my colleague was kind enough to share her Chicken Shawerma which was tender, moist and tasty...however, when I shared the Baba Ghanjous she thought it tasted off; but I thought it was satisfactory....Finally, I found a small piece of walnut shell in my gratuitous free baklava dessert; I am glad I did not bite down too hard and crack my tooth! All in all, a disappointing experience; I would recommend opting for the Chicken wrap if you do go...and CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave with your take-out!My colleague promised to take me to what she termed as a "much better Mediterranean/Middle Eastern" eatery near her office in Fremont called "DishDash" on McCarthy Ranch Marketplace....I am already salivating from her alternative recommendation...

Enjoyed the outdoor seating on Murphy St., friendly and attentive service, as well as a nice menu. The dishes we ordered seemed a little simpler, less sophisticated than across the street but very enjoyable and tasty. Would come back for a nice casual meal.

This is my go-to for eggplant/babaganush. I was taking some to a potluck and if you buy 3, the 4th container is free. ($6/each). Included in one heavenly homemade pita bread. There are other types of eggplants dishes and of course delicious but the babaganush is my favorite, Smokey, creamy, garlicky.....whatâs not to love!Thank you Marcia! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We hope to see you again soon.

Came here for business lunch. Ordered the chicken thigh and calamari. The grilled chicken thigh is really way too hard to chew. Quite a bad quality of meat preparation as the chicken thigh supposed to be more tender than the breast. Overall service and ambience are good . Come for business discussion or Friend gathering I ideal..

We went to this restaurant based on the often positive views expressed on Trip Advisor. The location might discourage one, as the restaurant is buried in a small mall with little that is inviting to the exterior view. But like a pomegranate, the inside experience is sweet, and unique to 'Persia'.We were given a small, partly enclosed booth, containing a painting referencing The service was swift and gracious. Our questions were thoroughly answered. We ordered kababs, which turned out to be cooked in a way that kept them moist and delicious, not the typical dried out version. The rice was fluffy and delicious, as well. I tried a drink called Sekanjebin which is now my fave. It consists of cold, shredded cucumber, honey and a touch of vinegar. And I left with a Turkish coffee to go. Beats Starbuck's any time.We will return any time we are in the area.

We went to DishDash for my dad's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We started with hummus with grilled chicken and stuffed grape leaves. The hummus was excellent. It was smooth with good flavor and the chicken made it even better. The pita bread here is delicious. It's fresh and doughy. The grape leaves were the best I've ever had. These have a lot of seasoning and texture. Others I've had are bland. I had Makloubeh for my entree and my husband had Shish Kabob. This is the first time I've had the Makloubeh. I liked it but prefer stronger flavors. It was quite mild. The chicken was moist and the sauce was pretty good. Everyone in our group who had beef or lamb said it was excellent.
