Our large group of friends ordered a variety of foods including pizza, pasta, salad, and an odd appetizer that was French fries covered with alfredo sauce and jalapeños with bacon bits. All was tasty save for the mozzarella tomato salad since it was not fresh mozzarella, but rather the solid kind that is shredded as a pizza topping, which meant it was on the tougher and chewier side. Our friends raved about the tiramisu but I'm not a fan and so didn't try it. Our food was accompanied by crunchy and warm garlic bread. Since I heard the location on Main is better I will be trying that one too.
I like the pizza at Nick's. The buffet pizza is a little different then the take out pizza. It tastes the same but it seems to be thrown together and is soggy. Same quality ingredients just not well made. The salad bar doesn't have much in the way of variety. Nick's garlic sticks are great, but the kitchen doesn't keep up with the demand. I will continue to order pizza, but probably won't be back for the buffet.
The restaurant is clean, and the service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. This restaurant can accommodate a large group. There were three televisions with a football game on, but the volume allowed for comfortable conversation. I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs and it came with a dinner salad and bread. The salad was better than expected; it included sliced mushrooms, black olives, cucumbers, and tomatoes. The Spaghetti was a generous portion presented very nicely. The sauce was perfect; it was thick rich tomato sauce spiced just right. The three meatballs were seasoned just right. The bread was flavorful and perfect for dipping in the sauce. I consider this to be the best spaghetti & meatballs I've had in the high desert. I look forward to coming back to try the pizza as well.

Johnny Carino's is at heart, Italian. But we're also uniquely American. Simply put, we are "Americano Italiano." Introducing Johnny's Italian American Tavern to our friends in Victorville, CA. We are your neighborhood authentic Italian restaurant coupled
Running errands one day, we decided to stop in for a cold beer. Sat in the bar and noticed that they have a daily all day happy hour (bar area only), which has some nice selections. Everyday they have the drink specials, then each day of the week has some food specials and extra drink specials. I had a pint of Modelo (only $3) and it was ice cold - just what the doctor ordered. We tried the avocado fries - delicious! We've been back twice since and the beer is always ice cold and my daughter liked the Italian Margarita. The daily pizza specials and for the regular size and averages 1/2 price, they are very good too. Thursday is $.25 wings which are meaty and you have nice choices of sauce or rubs. We will be back again - a nice quick snack and cold drinks when running chores or just for the heck of it.

Say what you like about the Americanized Italian chain, Olive Garden is usually consistent and a place to get a decent meal. The McDonald's of italian, perhaps. What let them down last night at the location in Hesperia was the service. Our server was overworked, and the place was busy. But that doesn't excuse her thunking our glasses and dishes down, holding the plates out for us to reach across the table to take them instead of her setting them on front of us, etc. I also didn't appreciate when she was handing out the bread and salad plates and clearly touching the "eating area" of each plate with her fingers and thump. At least keep up appearances that our plates and such are untouched! And our server seemed put out that we didn't want any free wine samples, and kept pushing us to try them. Young lady, there COULD be a reason we don't want the wine, you can offer, but don't keep pushing! The food was ok, but the very minimal dressing on the salad made me wonder if Olive Garden is cutting back to save money. None of our crew went back for seconds. For $75 plus tip (yes, I still tipped, but have just the "minimal" 15%), it was a disappointing visit.

Enjoy your lunch or dinner at this marvelous Italian restaurant conveniently locatedon Hesperia Road just south of Bear Valley Road. The seafood specials are my most favorite. I love all of their entrees, but their seafood and delicious daily soup are both excellent.
