I ordered a bbq chicken plate. The chicken was horrible. Overcooked, dry, hard and not really edible. The white rice was also very dry and sticky. The macaroni was ok, but I had ordered fresh tossed greens, so was not happy about that. You do get a large portion for your money, but it was so bad that I hardly ate any of it. This is the 2nd L&L BBQ place Ive tried and they were both awful. Decided to write a review because I'm never going back!! Still have that awful chicken taste in my mouth.

We were on vacation and found this place on yelp. What a great surprise! I've been to a few "make your own pizza" places before in Hawaii, Cali, and Virginia but this place was the best by far. I'm not sure if it's the sauce or what, but it was so much tastier than the others I've had in the past. My picky kids loved it too, even if it only had cheese and sauce! We would definitely go again when in the area. Totally recommend!
I love the appetizers at this diner. You can't go wrong with the fried zucchini or the fried mushrooms. The zucchini are not too thin, but they're not an inch wide. The mushrooms are all medium sized mushrooms. Both are extremely good!My absolute favorite burger is there San Francisco burger. It is a thick burger on a toasted sourdough bread, with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Thousand Island dressing. It is so, so, so good! Do not miss this gem!The staff is very friendly. Once you've taken your seat, after you've ordered, the staff will bring you your food. And never fear that your glass will ever be empty. The staff is very attentive and actually come around and offer refills. That's uncommon for places that allows you to get your own drinks.I love this place!
Stopped in for a quick lunch, but that didn't happen. It was just before noon, and the restaurant was not very busy. I ordered the mushroom chicken and was told that they didn't have any chicken right now??? So, I got a drink and sat down. Nine minutes later, I got my meal. Not being ready for the lunch crowd is unacceptable. I will not be back.

This place has good food. We love getting the burgers and piling on all the veggies we want; pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Also have relish and salsa. Cheese sauce for fries or whatever. Great onion rings and fries. Their lunch special is a good deal. Burger, fries and soda $7.00.

The Korean beef, Kalua pork, Lau Lau, CharSiu chicken are all delicious and taste like home. The ambiance is very casual, but the portions are enormous and priced fairly. The mac/potato salad is very interesting (and yummy). After eating here for years, I have favorites but the whole menu is delicious. They carry Island Sun sodas and I always grab a lilikoi before ordering. You can call ahead for quick pickup. I does get busy at lunch, but the service is prompt, so you can get back to your desk on time. The combo plates are enormous... we always order one to share.

Our out-of-town guests loved this pet-friendly casual dining place in our neighborhood that serves simple good food. Their enthusiasm prompted us to join them for lunch. The burgers and specialty hot dogs were definitely solid. Our chili burgers and Chicago dog tasted fresh and hearty with a good mouth feel. We especially liked that they serve draft beer in frozen mugs! Judging from the stream of customers it obviously has s loyal local fan base. This space has witnessed several failed business attempts before JS. Wonderful to see it thriving, having successful grown from a humble hotdog stand into a nice cozy spot with a covered open patio adjoining a large add-on indoor dining area in the back.
