Interesting place from the outside, and we both love crepes. But, they are not crepes, just thin pancakes with whatever filling is on the menu. While the crepe came warm, the filling was cold in places.Portions are big because they include fired potatoes and a (wilted) salad. But without the tastiness of a true crepe, it was just an ordinary meal.

Our menu offers simple, comforting foods with universal appeal. We are conscientious of the ingredients we us and the diversity of our patrons, so we can accommodate a variety of diet restrictions. We love using organic and local produce. We truly are a B
So this evening, I get a notification from TripAdvisor that I needed to 'resubmit my review of Rick and Anne's in Berkeley' because it doesn't seem to be the right place. Here's what I saw... "Dear Amitava Michael K, We are requesting that you resubmit your review of Rick & Ann's because we believe it was submitted to the wrong business."And here's my original review - "Expect to have socially progressive (read clean cut) panhandlers totting causes or non-profits hitting you up outside while you wait (or at the edge of the patio calling to you as you eat), tie-dyed or dreadlock-sporting staff serving your meals, and that communal, crowded eating style environment youâll find in that stereotypical progressive Berkeley atmosphere, but the food isnât bad - not great, but certainly not bad. Among our meals, sone where tasty, but some had minor issues; the pancakes tasted a bit cornbready, the scones were dryer than expected, but the margarita pizza was tasty and filling. The fair trade coffee was a bit bitter, but acceptable. If you want a true taste of Berkeley, come eat here, but if youâre after a more value-added meal, stay a bit further away from the University area - btw, parking here is a major pain!"So it seems that my initial review may have rubbed Rick or Ann the wrong way, and somehow they had enough clout with TripAdvisor that my review was removed - Wow! Is this real? Well, I'll just say that MY REVIEW IS ACCURATE, and for the record, I will now add some photos to prove that we actually ate at this place, on the patio, and there was no mistakes in my original review. If people are to expect honesty and no corporate 'massaging' of reviews, than do not challenge your voluntary (yes, remember, people like me do not review a cent for putting time and effort into writing reviews for TripAdvisor) reviewers unless you have some concrete evidence. If the images included are indeed not at Rick and Ann's, and if the patio does not include their business model, then I'll eat my words - but if you do recognize the business, admit that your customers on that day were 'less' than impressed with your fare. And above all else, be honest and ethical even if you do not agree with your customers.

We went here for brunch/lunch while visiting Berkeley. The food was good, and the outdoor patio was pet friendly. Definitely had to jockey for position on the patio to get a table and, more important, shade! Order food inside at the counter and then it is delivered to your table. The inside was empty - no surprise on a beautiful June Sunday. The drink options were yummy . . . try out one of the teas or lemonades.

I donât know if itâs Iâm older, with more sophisticated tastes, or whether the food has just declined, but the hamburgers arenât delicious as I remember them. The pastries are good but over-priced. The salads are decent. No more lines out the door so maybe it isnât age.

This a great café serving breakfast and lunch. Breakfast entrees include a selection of egg benedict dishes, omelets, scramblers, pancakes and French toast. The Irish Benedict of fresh corned beef, bell peppers, onion and tomato was delicious. The lunch menu adds salads and sandwiches.. The restaurant is airy and bright and there are also a few tables outside. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are several parking lots nearby

We stopped here for breakfast Sunday morning and glad we did. The food was excellent. My Denver Omelette with potatoes and 9 grain whole wheat toast was very good. My wife's Cornmeal Waffle was piled high with berries and bananas. Also, very good. The other two in our party had Bacon, Avocado and Cheddar Omelettes with scones. The scones were tasty, but a little dry. Great food, large portions and lots to look at while waiting.
