Desiring what I consider authentic Mexican food, I selected The Guadalajara Grill. I was quickly seated and served. The Cadillac Margarita looked larger than usual and was good, however, there's never enough tequila!! I ordered the De Carne wet burrito with Mexican rice and refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream; it was exactly what I was wanting!! I actually really enjoyed the Mariachi's; they were loud, but very entertaining. I'll be back.

My family has been trying to eat healthier and this is where we stop when we don't want to cook, but still want to eat healthier. Chicken Bowls and Chicken Salads are very good, and plenty enough to get you full and satisfied. Prices are excellent too.

This restaurant has zero curb appeal as it sits in a humble and unkempt strip mall with the Goodwill store as the main anchor. But walk into a cheerful and warmly laid out space. Everything here from the chips and salsa to the hand painted murals feels homemade and like a well run family operation The salsas margaritas and tortillas taste like they are from scratch and in general you can tell that they don't rely on canned sauces and spices. True this place still uses the old time refried beans, enchiladas and Spanish rice formula (that good old hangover food everyone craves sometimes)but they also have many fresh and novel items which indicates a chef with some adventure. Try at least one of the seafood items and one of the soups (meatball if you are not vegetarian) you will love the daily fresh salsas and homemade chips. Don't forget to have a margarita with the salt and chile edge! Ole

Iâve been going to Fondaâs since they opened. My grandparents love this place. My girlfriends parents love this place. I love this place! The first thing I tried here was their Birria with some corn tortillas. Nice juicy tender meat that falls apart without difficulty. I occasionally stop by for their brunch but for the past 2 years Iâve been getting the carne asada molcajete with a side of rice and beans and corn tortillas. The molcajete comes with nopales (cactus), queso (cheese), jalapeños (you know.. that spicy chili), avocado, and carne asada (flank steak) all inside of a tomato based sauce. It comes with enough food for 2 people and it costs about $20 so itâs perfect for a small couples trip. If youâre ever in the San Gabriel valley or feel like tasting some good Mexican food then you need to make a trip to Fondaâs!

Given that this is the #1 rated restaurant at the moment on TripAdvisor, we wanted to give it a try. We had a great evening and meal, although we ordered too much! The environment is casual, kind of industrial chic. Phlight seems to attract a nice neighborhood crowd including families. We ordered chicken wings - huge order and tasty! Empanadas - one of the best things we ate. Pork belly taco and shrimp taco - only one to an order but really large and more of a refined than street-type taco. Esquite - tasty creamy corn. We found 5 items to be too much but we enjoyed everything. We look forward to going back on our next visit to Whittier.

We were on our to a funeral at Rose Hills and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch and this is where we landed by chance. Glad we did!! After a very short wait we were seated and ordered margaritas all around. We looked over the extensive menu and all made our choices. 1 albondigas soup, 1 chicken torta, 1 carne asada torta and 1 carne asada quesadilla. Everyone was happy with their meal. The carne asada was very flavorful. They offer a patio seating for large parties which could be a lot of fun as they also have a nice bar with a variety of spirits.
