The first time I reviewed this place it was a busy night so I expected to have low quality service. Yesterday my husband and I went in at 2pm for Lunch. We were the only ones. The girl seating us didn't say hi, welcome nothing, she did not even get our drink order. But she did replenish the salsa, but I needed a drink. Finally our waiter came over. No hi, how are you, what can I get for you. He just stood there with his pen looking frustrated at us both. Made me really uncomfortable! He brought our waters, I said thank you, he grunted. We got our food, no enjoy or let me know what I can get for you-is this guy a joke?! Another couple came in and this guy talked with them! Asked them how their meal was, got them drinks! And meanwhile we are just sitting there waiting for our waiter to notice us, that we are finished, need a box and bill. The girl who seated us got a box. She was WAY more helpful than the man who was our waiter! We waited at least 10 minutes trying to catch our waiter in an empty restaurant and we finally got our bill. Needlesss to say his tip was gonna be slim pickings. He didn't even know how to run our card and had to do it a couple times-normally that wouldn't even bother me but holy cow this guy was TERRIBLE! Service here sucks even when it's empty!! AND on top of it both my husband and I have been sick since! We both had super burritos, I the veggie, him the chicken and we both have been running To and from the bathroom since yesterdays lunch! We had reviewed before, enjoyed it but after this experience we are NEVER COMING BACK.

Stopped in to try the new Mexican restaurant. Off-street parking. Welcoming staff. Booth and table seating. Extensive menu. Ordered an old favorite to compare with other local Mexican restaurants. Pleasantly surprised with the presentation, quantity and quality of my meal. Salsa needs some improvement. This is a keeper. Will return to try other items on their menu.

Open in the late afternoon and evening, this is the best Mexican food in the Grass Valley - Nevada City area. The restaurant is nicely laid out, the food is very good, and the staff are very good. If you are going on the weekend, it behooves you to make a reservation. We recently went on a Monday at 4:45pm with very few customers yet and the host turned on the fireplace for us. I had the Puerco Enchilados and it was exceptional. Please try this restaurant if you are looking for good Mexican food.

I reviewed years ago, and this time went in alone for an early dinner, 5-pm and sat at the bar as there were dozens of people waiting for tables. The bartender was very cordial and after ordering, upon her recommendations, I found out shes worked as the Bar Manager for a decade or so. I was informed the kitchen was backed up ( it was a holiday weekend) and giving the chance, I assumed to cancel my order, but I was fine and in no hurry. I ran into an old friend/business acquaintance, so It was great to see this as a social place to met friends, either by chance or because it is so popular in the community. Food was great, very hot, and more than I could eat for about 20 bucks including a Non-Alcohol Drink. Very reasonable for the area.
