Things to do in Gardena
Heard about this place many many times and finally had a chance to try them out.Overall service was great, the servers were very friendly and they kept on refilling our chips and salsa! To our surprise, their free chips and salsa was actually delicious!A lot of people recommended their chicken flautas and their beef tacos, so we ordered them as well as a chicken soup and meatball soupWe thought that the flautas were so so, the tacos on the other hand were really good. The chicken soup and their meatball soup were actually very good too. Will definitely come here again.
Old school since 1947. I was skeptical about this place due to the negative reviews but I wanted to try it out myself. This is a take out place only, there are no tables to sit at to enjoy your food here. I ordered the Red Chili Burrito and ate it at work, wow it was really flavorful and that thing had me full all day. The only drawback that it's a bit pricey at $8.50 for the burrito, but again you won't have to eat again for many hours. As soon as my order was ready there was a line out the door.
If you're looking for some tasty taco's this is it! It's on the corner of Figueroa and 168th street. There's a tacos truck in the corner where you order anything from Taco's to Tortas. If you're looking for fresh fruit, fresh made juices, or paletas de Michoacan then you want to go inside the little stand to order this stuff. Bring cash because they don't take debit or credit card orders. The tacos de lengua and de asada are so good with the salsa even better. Make sure that you ask for chiles de vinagre otherwise they won't give it to you. They have picnic tables under and awning that you can sit and parking is mediocre. Your better parking in the street if your in a hurry to get back to work. Lunch time means long lines so try to get there before 12:00 pm. Some of the best tasting taco's I've had. Been here more than once and I plan to come back. Must try on your Gardena list. It's not a fancy shamncy place but it's not ghetto either.

This place has been around for decades. It was dinner time and we had no reservations but had no problem obtaining a seat on arrival. We ordered The Villa Burrito, chicken mole plate, roasted jalapenos, and one coca cola. I asked for my burrito to include the spiciest salsa, but it was not hot and spicy at all. Overall the food was good, if you don't mind gringo style Mexican food. The service was top notch, you could not ask for better service. The unlimited and I do mean unlimited served in a small pitcher soda was just that, more than enough. They are not stingy with their soda service. If your looking for a gringo Mexican meal skip the Acapulco restaurant and come here instead you won't be disappointed.

Owners are Rodolfo Garcia and Juan Manuel Garcia. Restaurant offers excellent home-style Mexican food. Impressively friendly owners and staff. Although small, very clean and comfortable surroundings. Generous portions of everything, including the wine. Pr
The waitress came to get our order but we never got the menu. I ordered Caldo de Res- total disappointment... meat was hard and dry and it lacked flavor. My husband ordered hard shell tacos...nothing special about them. Im willing to give it another try only because it was highly recommended by a friend.
