When we go to concerts in Old Pomona and get out of the venue late this is the place we head to for midnight munchies. There is never a long wait and the service is quick. I always order chicken pad thai and thai tea, my two favorite things. Every time we have eaten here at night, it has always been busy, that should tell you something.

We have seen the sign of this restaurant every time we drove past Foothill Boulevard but skeptical of getting really good ramen in this area, especially after our trip to Japan last Summer when we had amazing ramen there. On this rainy evening we thought it would be good to check this place out for a bowl of hot ramen. We were greeted by friendly servers as we walked in and the level of service remained throughout the meal. All of us ordered the tonkatsu ramen and we also ordered the squid balls (forgot what they were called) to share as appetizer. First came a tofu salad which we did not order, but was told that it was complimentary since we are new customers from the neighborhood. A nice touch, indeed! The salad was unusual but tasted great! Then the squid balls and ramen arrived, everything was good. I was especially happy with the soft-centered egg, nicely done! The meat was perfectly cooked and the noodle chewy. (There are two kinds of noodles to choose from.) Not the best ramen by any means comparing to those we had in Japan, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were told that the chef had years of experience cooking ramen in Japan, so that's why. Will definitely be back for more and highly recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood.

My first visit to Grand Buffet was on a Tuesday night at the suggestion of a friend, exploring buffets in the area. We arrived around 6PM and found a few customers inside. Business really picked up around 7PM. There was plenty of seating on a Tuesday and many families with children were present. The fare is the very typical Asian mix of hot items, with a very good selection of sushi/shasimi being freshly prepared. I found everything I tried to be the typical toned down tastes for the SoCal customer. Not bad at all. There were spicer items for those that indulge with a few my wife tried that were heavily spiced and hot. Desserts were OK, but most were concentrating on meat and seafood items with many we observed piling on some nice snow crab legs. Prices were excellent with a small "senior" discount.

Ordered for a pick up and I was pleasantly surprised to see the inside of the restaurant. It is nicely renovated. The ambience is pleasant and comfortable. This is a great place for family. The food was very tasty. This is your traditional Cantonese style restaurant. I would order again.

Second visit to this local Thai restaurant and I love this place. Great food, terrific service and generous portions. You might have to wait a bit as this place is popular but so very worth the wait. I am dreaming about the fantastic seafood soup. Really terrific food.

Small place, not crowded.Business friends enjoyed the yellow curry, which was spicier than they expected.Absolutely loved the clear broth soup. Very tasty and healthful.50-50 knows how to make even a plate of broccoli delicious, so health nuts should be eatting here more often. Friendly servers! Park in the parking structure around the corner.
