We have been travelling in the US for 10 weeks and this was by far the best Mexican food we've eaten. Both the fish and shrimp tacos and burritos were delicious. Very fresh food and very tasty.Don't be put off by the restaurant itself, the food more than makes up for it. Full of locals so it must be good. If you want posh, fine dining then this place isn't for you but if you want good, honest, cheap Mexican food then you must try it.

My first time here. Loved the cilli verde omelette. They also gave us extra sauce upon request. Seems very popular in the area. People were lining up outside. I enjoyed my meal. Our waitress was also very attentive and refilled our coffee on time.
If you want ambiance, this is not the place. When you are hungry for the best Mexican food this is the location. The cooking is amazing. I enjoy the perfectly crisp taquitos, the rice is fluffy and never hard or soggy, the enchiladas are so good. Just writing the review makes me want to go there as soon as possible.

Señor Ajà is a complimentary mingling of Peruvian cuisine in a simple but easy menu, Peru has long had spectacularly original and varied cuisine, influenced by Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and, of course, Spanish traditions (by the way some those foods are
Senor Aji doesn't exotic from the outside, two doors down from a Starbucks, tucked behind a Credit Union in a shopping center in Northwest Fresno. The inside is surprisingly cosy for a glass fronted strip mall suite. They serve traditional Peruvian dishes that are elegant in presentation as well as tasty. The service was excellent as well.We started with Empanadas. They were excellent. Crisp, flavorful, without being heavy or greasy. Mrs. W had the Chicken - Cilantro soup and raved. I had the Lomo Saltado. This dish, stir fried beef with peppers and onions, served with rice and fries. Other places I've had it have been good, but tends to be a very informal dish...Three items piled on a plate. They serve a slightly elevated version with more subtle flavors and fries that were among the best I have had. In an unusual move for us, we ordered dessert. Their shortbread cookies, filled with dulce de leche carmel. It was the lightest, most delicate shortbread I have ever tasted.I really think it among the best restaurants in Fresno at the moment.

We had a large group (@10) mid-week who met for dinner. We were accommodated easily and received our food very quickly. They have a full bar.Chips and salsa were great. Everyone seemed pleased with their meal. Prices are reasonable. Because of the large group, tip was added in. Handmade tortillas!
