Old Town Pizza is located right across the street from Monrovia's Library Park where my astronomy club sets up telescopes once a month. The moon does sometimes remind me of a half or whole pizza pie, and we are ravenous after a few hours showing people the moon through our telescopes. When we are packed up, I walk across the street and order two pizzas, one Old Town Special $19.99 (pepperoni, canadian bacon, real bacon bits, green peppers, onions) and Hawaiian (ham and pineaple) Medium $15.99 or large $17.99). The large garden salad for 2 ($4.99) is enough for about 5 people to have a nice serving of salad. We all drive to our house, one mile away, open some wine and soft drinks, and share the pizza. About $40 for pizza & salad for 6-10 people. That's a real bargain! We also order pizza delivered quite often, when returning from a trip. Hours 11-9 S-Th, till 11 Friday, and 10 Saturday

I have never in my life heard of cornbread pizza. So when a friend who drives about 25 miles one-way told me that it is the best pizza in town, I had to try it out. For starters I ordered the "split pizza" where they sell you one slice that is cut in half. That with the Pasta Putanesca was more than the two of could eat. I hate having food left over that I have to put in the refrigerator. The staff was efficient and really went out of their way to explain the "gluten-free" concept and made recommendations on what food to order. It was a fun experience.
