While passing through Fresno, I stopped at the Mediterranean Grill and Cafe. I got there just before 1pm and was able to get a table right away, even though the restaurant was still quite busy. This large place was definitely a local go-to. Plenty of people came behind me. There was a large waitstaff, and I found the service excellent. My ice tea came right away. If you like Mediterranean, this menu is for you. I ordered the Beef Kebob, and was asked how I wanted my steak(med rare). It wasn't too long when my Kebob's were delivered to my table. The were piping hot. The steak was med rare, and very tender. The meat were in large cubes, but easy to cut into bite size pieces. I wish they had seasoned them with a little more pepper. The grilled onions and peppers were also great. I found the rice so-so (I am a bit of a rice snob). The carrots and zucchini were nicely seasoned, and not mussy. Pita was also part of the order. I got light fluffy bread instead. It was very fresh; I would have preferred pita but I could live with the delicious bread. I had a wonderful dining experience and I was even back on the road in just over half an hour, though I was in not big rush, and I never felt rushed. I don't usually do this, but if you are near Fresno, (especially if you like Mediterranean) you have got to try the Mediterranean Grill and Cafe.

Run, donât walk........go enjoy Phoenician Garden! Iâve eaten Mediterranean food in many different places and this is among the best ever!! The restaurant has a charming and immaculate ambiance. The food is plated beautifully and everything is cooked to perfection! Even the water in a large glass with plenty of ice and lemon was perfect. We enjoyed the chicken kebab served with a generous portion of rice pilaf and to-die-for wedges of carrots, zucchini and yellow squash. You receive two skewers of chicken, onions, and peppers. The garlic sauce was outstanding! (Reasonably priced at $15.) Also I highly recommend the fig spritz, which was a light, yummy and very refreshing cocktail. All this and yet one of the best parts was our charming, funny and attentive waiter Isaac. Kudos to him for making the whole experience even better. Sadly I donât live in CA so wonât be able to go back but if I lived here, I know this would be a frequent stop. Thanks Clare for coming in and detailing your experience at Phoenician Garden!! We hope to see you on your next visit!

Food is delicious. We had a sampler of their starters with baba ganoush, pickles, grape leaf wraps and feta cheese. The lamb dishes are excellent.

Lamb shanks that fall off the bone, Kabobs of all types, Shwarma Gyros, and Levash offerings that are sure to please everyone. Wait staff is efficient and pleasant and makes sure that your visit is a good one. Good value for your dollar!
