I-5 freeway at exit 776 in Yreka California
This restaurant looked quite simple from outside - yet inside it has the most detailed decor and furniture painting typical of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - we started with sangria, and found out that the fried tilapia was a meal to relish with decadence - one has to pick the fish delicately, but enjoyable beyond words - I recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I typically go to Casa Ramos once every two weeks. We know the majority of the staff and they make us feel like family.......honestly. As soon as we sit down, there is a ice cold beer put on the table for my husband, a cold & icy glass of water for me and we haven't even talked to a waiter/waitress yet! They know our likes and do an over-the-top job of catering to us. We love it. Our food is served hot and promptly.......no waiting and then being served tepid food. Nope! Like I said, they treat you like family. And, kudos to Carlos, the Manager, who always does his very best to ensure that your experience is perfect. This is the only Mexican restaurant to go to in Yreka if you're wanting good ol' homemade Mexican food..............yes...........homemade. Everything on the menu is made by hand that day. And the portions are not skimpy but generous. So, what are you waiting for? Go to Casa Ramos now! You will not be disappointed.

We ordered soft drinks. Chips and salsa were brought when we ordered the meals. We tried the chips. Surprise, HOT salsa but no drinks for 10 minutes! Then 20 minutes later are meals came. I had shrimp and fish tacos and enjoyed them. It took 10 minutes to get a drink refill from the time I requested it. Don't you hate waiting and waiting for a bill especially after getting boxes for leftovers. We finally went to the cash register asked the owner? for the bill. They need to train their staff!
