This is a family run restaurant in a small community called Madera Ranchos. If you are driving south on 41 from Yosemite National Park to Fresno, turn right on Ave 12 and head east about 2 miles. It is on the right. The food is excellent. Well priced especially at lunch and very clean.They make a dish called Hong Kong style chow mien not often found as it is tricky to make the nest of crispy noodles. This version has sea food as well as pork and chicken.If you like good Chinese food. This is your place.

Walked in with orders for 22 people (surprise visitors) for take-out. Staff were very helpful & efficient. Price was fair. Left less than 1/2hour later. Food was delicious, tasted very fresh and hot. Exactly as ordered. Impressive service. Recommend this location.

So many Chinese restaurants put too much money into furnishings, wall hangings, and other elements of ambiance that they neglect the food. Not the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in Madera, CA. Not much to look at; in fact we didn't go in until we talked to someone coming out. Food was quickly prepared and of excellent quality. Most tables were full and they were doing a lot of takeout. It appeared that there were 5 cooks in the kitchen; all very busy. Food was great!

China Kitchen is very good,the sweet/sour pork was great,loved the egg foo young(dark sauce was delicious)rice was good,really good shrimp....only draw back for me was the chow mein,it wasn't bad,it just was not my style,like the old tea garden in Chowchilla...thinner noodles.....but all in all i would go back in a heart beat.......can't wait to try rhe Mongolian Beef!
