Established in 1963, Torrance restaurant and cocktail lounge serving prime rib, steak, and seafood.
My wife selected the San Franciscan to celebrate our 43rd Wedding Anniversary because she had heard about the prime rib. We were not disappointed. We both ordered the shrimp and prime rib plate. We were served nice large shrimp and a good thick cut of prime rib plus salad and bake potato. Very tasty! We plan on going back soon.

Phantom Carriage Brewery, Blendery, Taproom and Eatery... is named after a 20's Swedish horror film. It is a taproom unlike any you've ever experienced... Enter a haunted cellar, the lighting is subdued, and stacks of oak barrels line the taproom. House b
We were trying to kill some time before a flight and googled "breweries near me". We found the address and a parking spot, but you really have to look for how to enter. Once inside, it took a while for the eyes to adjust, but wow! The bartender was great, we enjoyed our lunches, the food was real good and it was neat watching the campy movies on the walls. I wish i lived closer. Sigh.........

Stopped by with a large party on Saturday night and the service could have been better. We called ahead and asked for a table for 13. We later changed it to 16. They informed us that 13 of us can sit at one table and the rest can sit at adjacent booths and once the table next to us was available, we can sit there. Totally understandable and accommodating. After providing us a table (for 12 not 13) we sat around for 20 minutes before anyone even asked if we had been helped. Also, there was only 1 adjacent booth which seated 2 people which meant a couple of us were just standing around waiting for the table next to us to clear up. That was pretty awkward. While the server was helpful he seemed totally overwhelmed. Service was really slow and we had to wait 10-15 minutes between soda refills and tortillas (for the fajitas). I understand its Saturday night and their busy, but the manager could have gotten our server some help or taken another table of off his plate so he can focus on a large party. When the food finally did come, it was all very good. I tried the steak, fajitas, and tacos...everything was on point. They get bonus points for splitting the checks and not charging an insane mandatory gratuity (like Tony Roma's).Overall, I would give this place 2.5 stars. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience was not as good as it should have been. October fest in Alpine Village in Torrance just off the Harbour freeway is a rip off, with its overpriced beer and food. It has a very limited selection of German beer. The staff who man the entry and food booths seem to be mainly from one pacific Island country and were very unhelpful to the point of being rude. But itâs not all Doom and gloom, the band was very good and kept everybody entertained, we have been coming here for many years with our friends and had some really great nights but never again.TIP: for a more authentic German Oktoberfest try The German Phoenix club in Anaheim which is smaller but they have a good range of German beer and the food is reasonably priced. Plus, the most of the booths are staffed by pleasant German speaking people.

"Dog Friendly" restaurant. But lately it seems people just bring their dogs everywhere anyway? Has a nice Outdoor Patio and Full Bar. Enjoyed feeling the slightly cooler breeze coming off the coast while sitting in the patio.Shared the Beef Dip sandwich with a friend who paid extra to switch the side dish to Onion Rings. I'm usually ambivalent about onion rings, as they are too often too thickly dipped, battered and fried. But these were deliciousness! Lightly battered, and the sandwich was good too.
