We make a point of eating here when we're staying in Rio Nido. I haven't been to Mexico in over 50 years, so I can't speak to "authenticity," but the food is better than a lot of places, and there's variety to the menu.No white tablecloths. You line up to order, take a tray with your order number, chips, self-serve ramekins of salsa (8 varieties to choose from!) and drinks to your table and the fresh-cooked food comes quickly. Parking can be a little tricky, so be prepared (if you can) to park up the street a couple of blocks and walk.

Fabulous little spot for happy hour. Specializes in Tequila, Mezcal and Bourbon cocktails. Also has a nice selections of unusual appetizers (cucumbers in lemon and chili salt). I had a great jalapeno margarita and my gf had a delicious sangria. Cute little patio in the back.

I am picky about Mexican food, because I lived and traveled in Mexico so much. Compared to the Real Mexican Food served in California.. I call this average, but it is Real. Fake "Mexican" food ( chevys/taco bell) is something else.. not even part of this conversation. This restraint has been here for a dozen years. Always clean, always friendly folks cooking and serving. Very convenient parking. 10 for people, 7-8 for food. No negatives unless you expect gourmet cuisine. Better Bet than the Pub ! Food To Go Too - my usual gambit.

Having spent the night up the coast our trip home down the coast was enhanced by a stop at La Bodequeta Mexican Gril!We arrived famished, and left stuffed!I wont soon forget, and will return soon for the Crab Enchiladas which were amazing. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very friendly. They are in a beautiful location on the coast, and everything about this place is very nice.A great experience awaits.
