Our name comes from the Turkish word for "field," and that's where every dish starts for us: in the riches the earth yields. We source our ingredients locally, seasonally, and organically as often as possible to create our Mediterranean fusion dishes. Bri
We ordered drinks and food from the bar and the bar staff were exceptional and brilliantly attentive and efficient. Unfortunately the food and food service staff were not as good and our food was speedily dropped off by a waiter rather more interested in flirting with other guests than doing his job well. We had to call him back to ask for dressings, and then shortly after call him back again as our food was cold and over cooked. The bar manager immediately jumped in as soon as he clocked things were not ok and was superb in his attitude and professionalism.Unfortunately the food overall was not very interesting and rather bland, even when properly cooked and hot, which was a shame as only a few tweaks would make this restaurant really great.

One of our favorite places to eat when visiting Sonoma. Their eggs Benedict are superior in every respect. I prefer the salmon eggs Benedict or (if they have them), the crab cake eggs Benedict. The standard eggs Benedict are also perfectly prepared. The service is always top-notch, especially good service from Fernando G.

Layla at MacArthur Place delivers a vibrant, convivial "Mediterranean kitchen" experience to Sonoma with a diverse, ingredient-driven menu from award-winning Executive Chef Cole Dickinson featuring healthy, organic options as well as more indulgent fare.
Love the new decor. Sat outside for lunch with a friend. I ordered the burger without a bun and told the server I was on a low carb diet. At this point she should have said I should order the double burger because the patties are the size of a slider, but she did not. She asked my friend what kind of fries she wanted with her chicken sandwich- she did not ask me, but this would have been a perfect opportunity for her to offer me a side salad instead of fries, but she did not. So my lunch comes with a tiny Burger and half a plate full of french fries. Fortunately I was not that hungry, but very disappointed with the portion size of the burger. The server went on to tell me that most people get the double and most people have the bun. A bun would have swallowed this burger up whether it was one patty or two, just can't imagine. I'm not sure what low carb diet meant in her mind, but I would not recommend this restaurant unless you need lots of carbs in your diet. Can't say that I'll be going back anytime soon. I will say that my friends chicken sandwich look delicious and if I was eating french fries they are the kind of fries that I would enjoy.Dear valeriepE3664RI,Many thanks for visiting Layla, and for the helpful feedback. We have been laser-focused on service training in the past few months since your visit, and have also added many gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options (and labeled the menu accordingly for easy navigation) based on guest feedback. We hope you'll give us another chance!Best,
