It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I love Thai food, and we've been on an odyssey to find the perfect local Thai restaurant. Thai Unique wasn't perfect, was it was very pleasant and enjoyable.Service was very welcoming. Decor is warm, woodsy and comfortable. It's a fairly good-sized place and looks as though it may have originally been a Denny's or similar restaurant, but the wood paneling and Thai artwork has changed it immensely and for the better. The menu is extensive, like most Thai restaurants. I love noodle dishes, and the delightful Thai waitress recommended the Pad See Ow, which was excellent. My wife had the lemongrass chicken, which was pretty good, but the peanut sauce overwhelmed the lemongrass flavor. And the fresh spring rolls with shrimp were a good start.Prices were very reasonable. While it wasn't the perfect Thai restaurant, we do plan to return.2 thumbs up!

We stopped at the Thai noodle express on the way back from Tahoe. The restaurant is tiny with seating for around 10. A little hard to find, but worth it. Our meals were fantastic. We went to Thailand this summer and the flavors were perfect.
