Find out what Sushi restaurants to try in Vallejo. Vallejo (/vəˈleɪ(h)oʊ/ və-LAY-(h)oh; Spanish: [baˈʎexo]) is a waterfront city in Solano County, California, located in the North Bay sub-region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Vallejo is geographically the closest North Bay city to the inner East Bay, so it is sometimes mistakenly associated with that region. The population was 115,942 at the 2010 census. It is the tenth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the largest in Solano County. Vallejo sits on the northeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, 30 miles north of San Francisco, the northwestern shore of the Carquinez Strait and the southern end of the Napa River, 15 miles south of Napa. The city is named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, a native Californio, leading proponent of California's statehood, and one of the first members of the California State Senate; the neighboring city of Benicia is named for his wife, Francisca Benicia Carrillo de Vallejo.

This is a very, very good suchi restaurant..!! It is our new favorite and sorry to say it is about a 5 hour drive from our home in Southern California. Nice atmosphere; very good service; reasonable prices and the food excellent..!! We will definitely come here again when we are in the area..!
Of all the Yo Sushi's, this is my favorite. They are consistently good. Fast service... it does get packed here so be ready to stand in line at dinner time. Its not the finest sushi you will ever eat, but by far really good and a great deal for fresh fish. Those of us that have to watch our budgets appreciate Yo Sushi!

Kaigan is an unpretentious, friendly local place that serves nice sushi and other Japanese food in a comfortable setting. Be sure to check the walls as well as the menu. My friends always order the Spider Roll and the Dragon Roll, with bits of crisp tempura inside for a crisp contrast to the usual soft and chewy sushi texture. I am a fan of the specialty Carpaciroll. Inside is matchstick-julienned cucumber, outside are shiso leaves, wafer slices of lemon, and a sprinkling of tobiko for color. It's very pretty, and its flavor is vibrant and a bit tangy from the lemon and shiso. Lunchtimes, food is 30 percent off. Evenings, there are fresh oysters. We always have a pleasant time here.
