This is a chain restaurant, specialising in steak and American cuisine, that I have never visited before. I suppose it is like a Longhorn or an Outback Steakhouse with it's booth seating and menu of American appetisers and entree's, including a range of steaks. The bar looked quite lively and the restaurant is pretty large, which is where I sat in a booth for dinner. I went for the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, which were nice but a little too sweet, followed by the 12oz New York Strip Steak. The steak was very tasty and tender and it came with some nice fireside beans, chunky fries and some beef stew soup. All very nice. I also ordered a side of broccoli to go with my steak. All in all it was a good to very good American meal. A little bit more expensive than an Outback for similar food. I paid US$51.55 for my meal (inc. Tax) without any drinks.

Hitching Post Winery, which is next door to this quaint, casual cafeteria, was made famous in the "Sideways" movie. However, we like this lunch place for its beautiful hillside views, excellent hamburgers and vegetarian fajitas . Priced very reasonably ($6-$11), the service is friendly and food quality is very good. By the way, we also heard their vegetarian burger is equally good. You can also buy wine by the glass (limited choice, though) or take the whole bottle and share. Wines are from local vinyards, and if you haven't tried Central Valley Zinfandel or Pinot's, you simply ought to.The nearby restaurant by the same name is only open for dinner, but also serves great food, in a more formal manner.

Original Roadhouse Grill features an authentic roadhouse menu and a down-home, fun lovin' atmosphere. You'll find peanuts served in buckets and peanut shells on the floor. Country music, classic rock and blues can be heard coming out of our jukebox. Bring
We stopped in Santa Maria for gas and dinner and ate here. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I had a club sandwich with fries. The club sandwich was pretty mediocre and my wife said the pulled pork sandwich was pretty good. I ordered the french fries to be hot and crispy and they came out rather cool/warm so I had to return them to get hot crispy fries. The best part of the meal was the side of onion rings which were hot, crispy and quite delicious. The waitress, Alyssa, was nice and friendly. We had eaten here before and itâs pretty average for a freeway grub stop.
