Welcome to bustling San Jose, where Silicon Valley meets Spanish history and modern edifices sit alongside meticulously restored 19th-century buildings. Such is the contrast of this city rich in tradition and, thanks to the tech industry, just plain rich. Five star-hotels and fine restaurants line the streets of the restored downtown area, and the cultural scene is thriving with museums, theater and art to rival any world-class hub. Don't miss the Tech Museum of Innovation, an exploration of Silicon Valley and its impact on the area. History buffs will relish the old mansions and can delve into the city's past at the History Museum of San Jose. Save time for a round of golf or the locals' other favorite pastime, sipping coffee and people-watching at a crowded cafe.

I watched at TV show on PBS that discussed this restaurant so we attended in October of this year. Wow wow and wow. The food was amazingly tasty. The buffet of salads, rice, peppers were extraordinary. Great selection and variety at the buffet. The meats were tasty. The wait staff was outstanding. A lot of personal attention was given to the diners. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. The flan was delicious as well and there were these great cumari peppers that grow wild in the Amazon. The grilled pineapple was amazing. Very nice and highly recommend.Vivian, thank you for taking the time to share your awesome review with us! We love reading positive feedback from our new guests and we're happy to hear how much you enjoyed our variety of meats. Thank you for recommending us to others and we look forward to seeing you again next time.

What a delightful surprise to find really superb food full of flavor, unusual ingredients and competent staff...From the Boquerones (anchovies) to the Pulpo con Pimiento (octopus) to the Plat de Serrano (Serrano ham and cheese) we feasted on one delicious item after another while enjoying a glass of that hearty Spanish wine. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the tapas and how they were prepared...something unusual in today's dining environment. His suggestions made the meal perfect. We will be going back in the near future....

My favorite dish was ... the dessert. Bunuelos = small pumpkin fritters with horchata ice cream. It was seriously one of the most satisfying dessert I've had this year. 5 stars! Can't wait to try all the other desserts.Food was average. We got ·guacamole $8 (add bacon and pistachio for $9.50)·chorizo y mole negro tacos $12.50 (2 tacos, each with ground chorizo, black mole sauce, and pureed sweet potato - good flavor combo, nice texture contrast too)·elote (grilled corn cut off the cob, small portion, good as a side dish to add variety)·Pasilla Chile Relleno $18 -reasonable portion, good size to share; as for taste, I was disappointed that it doesn't have more flavors. I didn't know what I was getting in a bite sometimes. Don't recommend :(There are some interesting cocktails as well. We tried watermelon mojito and the strawberry basil margarita. Both drinks were too strong for my taste. Overall, we had a decent experience. The space inside is small, my chair was almost touching another person's chair. So it's smart to make a reservation, especially since you can do it directly on Yelp. Yes, this app you are using right now can save you time. Make a reservation for Friday and Saturday evening. Service was alright. My friend spilled her water (and didn't even break the glass). Though 2 or 3 waiters came to help clean up, somehow we were left feeling like we were stupid/did something wrong. Try a dessert!
