Nice atmosphere and decor. Beef tacos and cod tacos plenty and delicious. Molcajete giant and tasty. Queso Fundido with chorizo was fabulous. Busy place and service still pretty good. Very nice menu selection and drink menu. In big strip mall, parking parking in front.
Where to eat Seafood food in Salida: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We have driven by this restaurant hundreds - maybe thousands - of times over the years. It's in the same shopping center as a lot of stores I go to every week. But we had never given El Pollo Loco more than a passing glance. Then someone told us they had been rated in Consumers, as having most flavorful chicken of any fast food place. Really??? That place? Then my daughter mentioned it in passing, "It's amazing!" So we had to give it a try.Well, all I have to say is "Why did we wait so long?" The food was really tasty and fresh and the servers were very friendly and helpful. The menu was slightly complicated, but they were so nice to help us make choices.I recently reviewed A&W, and complained about the fact that they charged us 25¢ each for glasses of water on a $30 bill. El Pollo Loco was just the opposite! The prices were reasonable and they gave us water glasses even though we did not ask. Service and food were both great, and we are looking forward to going back and eventually trying everything on the menu!

Our family came across this Restaurant on Coffee rd Modesto, 21 years ago. We have a large family, so eating out was a true treat. This affordable, quality restaurant (both of them).
