Unless you were familiar with Goleta, you would never see this restaurant because it is tucked away in a small shopping center. Serves very good Mexican food. I had the carnitas soft tacos & my wife has the fish tacos along with a couple of pints of Negro Modello beer. It hit the spot, can't wait to go back

I really like the chicken at this El Pollo Loco. I eat here often. I usually get whatever chicken meal deal they have or some coupon offer they have. I think the prices are a bit high (about $20.00 for a whole cooked chicken with no sides), but the chicken is always very well cooked and very tasty. I think the Tacos al Carbon for about $1.65/ea are the best value. 3 or 4 of them will fill up an adult and they are very generous with the amount of chicken in each taco.

El Pollo Rico

I was referred to this restaurant by a friend. It is half Laundromat and half restaurant. I had a veggie fajita burrito one time, and combo burrito second time. Staff never smiled, said thank you or anything. I think they don't like gringos in the restaurant. In addition, there were some older blue-collar Latino guys that were staring at me, making jokes and whistling. I speak Spanish and would have been happy to chat, but I have never experienced such rudeness even in hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Mexico.
