We were late getting into San Simeon after a long drive through Big Sur during the day, and arrived at the restaurant about 15 to 20 minutes before they were too close. We asked them if they would mind cooking us some food and they graciously told us to come in and they would feed us. The cooks staff and the waiters all stayed way past closing and we will forever be grateful for them taking care of us that late night. I had their clam chowder in a bread bowl and it was wonderful and delicious. If you are going to San Simeon stop by and have some great food at the manta ray restaurant.

Favorite place to eat in Cambria. Yes it's pricey, and crowded (but a cool vibe and meet interesting and friendly people over a glass of wine while you wait) and they take cash only but there is a ATM available if you're caught off guard. I've never had a seafood dish I didn't like here. If you can't stand waiting a bit for a table this is not the place for you.

Food was delicious all around the table and view of the ocean was nice too. Brooke, we do have a lot of great customers, but we try to get them seated and served as fast as we can! We're glad to hear your group had a great dinner with great views. Hope to see you again soon!Sincerely,John, Owner
