Wide selection of breakfast, lunch, dinner items. Higher than average pricing. Atmosphere, of a roadside diner with retro rock n roll vibe. Place will be 100 years old next year. Pool tables, air hockey, booths, tables. Huge bar.Good sized portions. Was nearly empty on a Sunday morning- liked it!

I love metal. I always have. Iâm 52 and Motörhead are part of my life. Iâve seen them loads, met them and was a Motorheadbanger .... google it! Metal of the 80s .... great! In fact metal and rock .... great. So meeting a yank mate at the Rainbow, after checking out apartments that Crue, Roses and Lemmy lived in.... just cool. So after you have viewed the statue and pictures of Lemmy and soaked up the atmosphere of an iconic venue this review should be good. Nope .... surly barmaids who act as if they are gods gift .... ladies you really are not all that! You wouldnât know what Motörhead and metal mean to people if it bit your .....9 dollars for a bottle of beer. I live in London and thought that was bad .....Absolutely awful music! But worst of all it feels like itâs lost itâs way ... not what I expected .... dull, touristy and not the edgy, raucous, loud and special place it should be. Do I want to go again yes .... as I hope Iâm wrong and it is me thatâs missing something .... but I wonât because it wonât change. Sometimes visiting iconic places from your youth just ainât worth it.

The table was pleasant and the decor old Hollywood, staff were pretty attentive and the martini to start was good. The shrimp appetizer was OK and the tuna tartare pretty good however they arrived about 3 minutes after ordering and while we were still drinking our cocktail. Worse, the mains were offered while we were still eating the appetizers with the comment "would you like these taken away or like them now?". Lobster tacos were a standout, the turkey chili was just OK. The main issue was that we were being rushed and were out in just over an hour and a quarter. It felt like the focus was turning tables and given the cost this is unacceptable. We usually dine at the Polo Lounge for these types of occasions and it delivers a much better overall experience. Sadly we can't recommend the Tower Bar.
