After watching a movie, my friends and I decided to have lunch at Mikuni in Roseville. In spite of the many diners waiting, it didn't take us long to get seated. The receptionists were very friendly and polite. The food was excellent!

A gem of a sushi restaurant in a shopping center in Granite Bay. A local favorite. The menu is substantial and has something for everyone. The Sesame Chicken was excellent. The Edamame and Gyoza were perfect. I ordered a number of rolls and they were all excellent. Black Tiger, Chowchilla, Hana, and Popper were fresh and creative. They all had a wonderful symphony of flavors, exactly what you would expect in a first class sushi restaurant. This will be a restaurant that I will be visiting again. It looks like the name is changing to Hazumi Sushi Bar.

Apparently the best time to come is for dinner after 7pm on Sundays since the place was almost empty. We just missed the rush according to Nariah W. She brought us edamame to start which were standard and good. The names of the rolls are a little kitschy so I skipped looking at those. We shared really great chicken gyoza which were equally crisp and juicy. Then my partner had the deluxe sushi combo (salad dressing on the side next time) and I had the poke bowl with half salad and half sushi rice base. HUGE serving and a little spicy for me but lots of really good fish. What would have made it perfect? The edamame were neither hot nor cold, so that was a little off putting. Also checking on refills for the drinks would have been helpful. But the rest was wonderful, and this place is a winner for sure! There is even outdoor seating for when it heats up!Thank you for the review and the great feedback. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your meals and we hope to see you again soon!
