Vallejo (/vəˈleɪ(h)oʊ/ və-LAY-(h)oh; Spanish: [baˈʎexo]) is a waterfront city in Solano County, California, located in the North Bay sub-region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Vallejo is geographically the closest North Bay city to the inner East Bay, so it is sometimes mistakenly associated with that region. The population was 115,942 at the 2010 census. It is the tenth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the largest in Solano County. Vallejo sits on the northeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, 30 miles north of San Francisco, the northwestern shore of the Carquinez Strait and the southern end of the Napa River, 15 miles south of Napa. The city is named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, a native Californio, leading proponent of California's statehood, and one of the first members of the California State Senate; the neighboring city of Benicia is named for his wife, Francisca Benicia Carrillo de Vallejo.

If there were 3.5 stars, I would give this restaurant that rating. The views and location by the water is definitely 5 stars. It's a nice place to watch the sunset. Everything else in the restaurant was mediocre in terms of decor, food and service. Our appetizer was heavily breaded and almost felt burnt. Beef dishes were all in the $30+ range and nothing special. A dinner companion also found his chicken strips disappointing. Service was just fair. i had to get up off the table to get some sugar for my coffee. Bottom line for this restaurant, go for the view.

I should have known from past experiences, the sausage soup is good everything else was over seasoned or totally covered in sauce. After I removed all the melted cheese from my chicken it was almost good . It was still rubbery but then the waitress told me they donât cook it they microwave it .

Our first visit to Big Italian last night, we were hoping to find a place that can hold its own in comparison to Napolis, the only other "real" pizza place we've found so far in Vallejo. This place can. The menu is large the pizza section confusing. The small selection of named or gourmet pizzas included some interesting combinations, but for more traditional fare, you build your own. We ordered one of their combos, substituted and added ingredients. Additional ingredients are either $2.25 or 2.75. We had artichoke hearts, sausage, garlic, tomatoes and extra cheese and the cost with two sodas came to $34 and change, about what we would pay at Napolis. The pizza was very good. There are several options: thin or thick crust and variations like calzones and strombolis. A very large offering of various pastas are available as a single serving or for 2-3 people. The restaurant is small, tucked at the far end of the popular mall where Seafood City is located. Nothing special to look at, but comfortable. We ate in. The waitress was reserved but friendly. She also served the food and bussed the tables. We'd be happy to go back.
