The population was 18,228 at the 2010 census, up from 14,549 at the 2000 census. Cameron Park is a community located in the Northern California Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada foothills, approximately 30 miles (50 km) east of Sacramento and 70 miles (110 km) west of South Lake Tahoe.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by a friendly and helpful employee who helped us select our meals since it was our first visit. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. There are at least 2 TVs which were tuned to sports channels. They have one of those beverage machines which allows you to choose from many types of drinks and flavors. There is a small salad bar and a "fixins bar" which allows you to fix up your burger exactly how you want it. The items at both the salad and fixins bar all looked nice and fresh. That fixins bar was the selling point for me. The burgers were nice and juicy. I had the garlic fries which were somewhat comparable to those at a Giants game in flavor but were a little chewy. If we lived near here, i would no doubt be a regular. Unfortunately we don't and just stopped here on our way up Hwy 50. It is just a few miles off 50, and worth the stop.

we got our food quickly despite the longish line. we usually go inside but the drive thru was happy to oblige a few specialty requests (add ketchup and grill onion, remove tomato) so we didnt have to make a mess doing that in our car! great burger and fries, as always! they even gave us lemon wedges in our cokes, like we would have done inside!

I felt like I was being welcomed into their home as I ordered my meal. They have a great selection and I have no doubt that everything is a good as what I ordered and at a competitive price. The place is a little off the beaten path but well worth seeking out. It was a cold out so wish the had turned the thermostat up a bit though.
