While visiting my aunt in rehab. just down the road, well Yeung Shing was our pick, not much open on a Sunday evening. We ordered rice, beef w/string beans, veg. deluxe and chef's special "orange chicken". Over all our choices were good, nothing really to rave about, but the orange chicken, all 4 of us could not figure out or understand why the "orange chicken" was so darn chewy!!! We mean super chewy to the point we stop eating it!

I've been eating at this place off and on for many years and I think its some of the best Chinese food that I've tried. My favorite things on the menu are the chicken salad, it has a slight spicy mustard taste which I love. I also love the sizzling rice soup and the garlic prawns. One thing that I didn't care for is the interior lighting seemed to be much brighter than it used to be, maybe they could dim the lights just a touch because it hurt my eyes. A great little cozy restaurant to eat at when its raining outside. Enjoy!
Shangri-La Chinese Restaurant serves good typical Chinese food. It is better than several other Chinese restaurants in town. There is a small dining area, but it is mostly full of people waiting for their take out meals. They ae not unfriendly, but because they are always very busy they are not the most friendly. If one orders hot soup and a chicken salad, they invariably are placed into the same bag so the heat wilts the lettuce in the salad. They do not seem to consider this when packaging the take out meals. Nevertheless, we order out often.
