Every time I go I think the food is delicious. There are many options and just about everything. Sushi, rice, noodles, every kind of meat and seafood. And itâs all you can eat. Overall the food is good. The service is not the best. It can be hit or miss but itâs usually a miss. The waitresses seem they are always in a rush and not the nicest. They donât check on you except to give you your drinks and bring you the check. I would recommend this place for a full stomach of yummy food. But prepare for the service.

I've lived in the Arcata area for 32 years and was consistently disappointed in the Chinese restaurants throughout Humboldt County...this place used to be known as Hunan Village and was equally disappointing, so I was pleasantly surprised when a friend told me last year that it had changed ownership and it was much better. I gave it a try and have been a consistent fan ever since. The food is consistently good, as is the service and the cost. They even have a "secret" menu for the more adventurous if you ask. The Hunan Beef and Cumin Beef are both favorites of mine. The pan-friend string beans are fantastic as well - eat them fresh and not as a to-go order would be my tip. My only disappointment is the hot and sour soup - I love good hot and sour soup but their version is only fair at best - sometimes it is adequately good (but not great) and other times it is barely passable - this is a staple of lunch specials and they really need to revisit their recipe and figure out how to do it right. My kids love the place as well. The decor and ambiance are nothing special but the food is the best you'll find in the area.
First of all, the service is top quality here. In this family-run business, the owner and his competent children are going to be the ones to assist you. And you can customize what really good - for example, their General Tso's options (meat, shrimp, etc.) are frequently ordered by my friends. I really enjoy their broccoli and tofu - wish they had brown rice but only white. They are very accommodating to the community as well, allowing various groups to utilize their large banquet room. We very much appreciate this spot and the wonderful family!
