visited Sushi Bei yesterday. surprised to see remodeled Sushi bar. taste excellent as always. Besides, assistant( used to be) Sushi Chef becomes really good Chef. Thus,Sushi bei has now 2 professional chefs. always recommend my friends to visit this place. Price is very reasonable and enjoy real Sushi. After Sushi, always visit next door Karaoke Pub for more fun.Mike J.
This place got sucky after they changed to Korean owners about a year ago. Their combo prices are still good though. Good place to go to get your night started. I've eaten here A LOT.

Located in a strip mall, nothing fancy with a small dining area. Mostly take out orders. Good parking, but it does gets very busy during lunch hours on a weekdays. The lady owner is super nice and very friendly. She keeps the place organized and clean. Although its a small restaurant, they do have a very extensive menu, with all the sushi rolls you can think of, sashimi, bowls, salad, soup, noodles. But if you are not sure what to get, the 3 item combo platter is a way to go. I opted for the Sesame Chicken - fried chicken nuggets with sesame seeds- very tasty and crunchy. Grilled Salmon - a generous portion of salmon filet, seasoned perfectly, and the Spicy Tuna Roll is very fresh. The combos comes with miso soup and a salad with a tasty dressing. My other favorite is the Chirashi Bowl. Its 5/6 type sashimi fish served over sushi rice in a bowl.Overall, I like this place, fast service and wont break your budget.

We got the last empty table when we arrived, and were glad that we did, as folks were waiting for tables when we finished up. The food was very good, and the portions were generous. My grandson especially liked the gyoza and so we ordered TWO ORDERS!
Entirely unassuming location, and on opening the door presented with a small and very noisy restaurant. Might have walked, but was entertaining clients. Some tables packed together, but the seats at the conveyor belt are the ones to go for. The main sushi chef is a nutter - very funny, loud and eccentric, but he and his team know how to knock out great food.Of special interest was the uni - apparently from Santa Barbera, where he drives to collect it, rating it as the best in the world.Had a great time and left completely stuffed with smiles all round.

We went here with Family, our first Sushi Experience. Just loved the concept of food passing by on a conveyor belt. Alternatively, you can order from the electronic menu dishes you really want to try and hey-presto it comes direct to you via another conveyor belt.

How do I justify my claim?Sakai Sushi in Gardena had been in business for over 50 years and they always prepared the sushi in the same manner passed on from generation to the next. Starting with the selection of best Japanese rice and cooking it the old fashion way. The other ingredients were methodically prepared and rolled together to enhance the best taste. From starting to the finish, the steps and method to assure the best sushi were always in mind. No wonder the customers love sushi from Sakai Sushi. How did Sakai Sushi manage the holiday demand? On the holiday season specially on New Year, the take-out from Sakai Sushi had to be reserved in advance. For this New Year, they open for booking on December 2 and the production of the day were full reserved within 2 hours. This show the demand of the loyal customers that the restaurant had for the past 50+ years.Every time we passed Gardena, the take-out from Sakai Sushi is a must for us. This is an open secret and hope you can try the best sushi in the world in this very simple place.

A lot of selections but all about Uni!!! Very fresh and beautiful decorations of the dishes. The volume of Uni sashimi is very big for 2 people and you might get bored just eating it. I recommend to go there with 4 or more people and order all different kinds to have fun! It is a dream place for Uni lovers!!!
