We were staying at the Lodge and needed some variety. Gourmet Au Bay was recommended by the local winery on PCH. We ordered to go the flatbread pizza and crab cakes. Crab cakes were very delicious! We took food back to the Bodega Bay Lodge and ate on our patio. Great food! Try them out!!

The food wasn't bad but not the best. We had a friendly waiter who was attentive. The dipping sauce for the calamari wasn't good at all. I appreciate they tried doing something different but it just wasn't working. It's nice to sit inside and look at the sea lions and relax while eating dinner.

Delectable oysters en-route to Point Reyes. The scenery is gorgeous and serene. The oysters were fresh and of high quality. My favorite version were the bbq flavor, which were out of this world. A favorite place for locals. Please stop here and enjoy a relaxing time eating oysters and taking in the natural beauty of northern California.

This is a little dive place on the water but not even really a restaurant. There are shared tables and countertops where people just sit and wait for their food. To give you an idea, they also sell bait, tackle, lifevests and other items needed for being out on the water. You stand in line and place your order and then are given a number you take to where there is a place to sit. No real silverware or glassware or anything even remotely close. Paper cups and plastic is all you are getting in this place. But both my husband and I had barbecue oysters, two different types I had the chorizo and lemon butter. I honestly can’t remember what he had but we both absolutely loved the food. And we both had bowls, not cups, of clam chowder. I used to live in New England so I know clam chowder fairly well. Never tasted anything like this. Absolutely amazing! I have never tasted minced carrots and celery which seem to be raw to me that were dumped into the clam chowder before it was served. These were a little teeny specks of vegetables that were crunchy. I just loved the contrast between the creamy chowder and the crunchy veggies. And speaking of creamy, that’s what it was not clumpy. So often when I order clam chowder it is so thick with additives that it is almost like oatmeal. True clam chowder, in my opinion, should be creamy, not watery, but not oatmeal either. This place hit it out the park. Not cheap either. I think 4 barbecued oysters were $17, but worth every penny! Would go back anytime! Note: I did not comment on Service since there was no service!!!intrepidtraveler23, we're beyond happy to read that the BBQ oysters and clam chowder really blew you out of the water! We do things a little different here, and we're so thrilled you appreciated the veggies in the chowder as well as the simplicity of it all. We really hope you make it back our way again soon! All the best,Fisherman's Cove Team

We each got the salmon with caramelized brussel sprouts and jambalaya. Deviled eggs topped with a fried oyster. And 6 grilled oysters. The salmon was very moist and the deviled eggs and grilled oysters were good. The service was good and friendly. The only issue I had was that it was pricey. I guess it’s California but in New Orleans and other areas of the south the thought of $42 for a dozen grilled oysters is a shocker. But the food was good and we liked the ambiance of the place.

We were on our drive down from our wine weekend and made our intentional detour to Hog Island because we’ve endured the lines at the Ferry Building in SF and knew with this spot we could enjoy these delicious oysters right away. The hostess gave us a great table with a sweeping view of the bay... did I mention that all tables basically have sweeping views. We each ordered a cold drink and then came oysters! On ice and we even tried the grilled ones... A great place to go and won’t let you down!

Historic building is very interesting. Service was very attentive. Their take on chicken marsala was unusual. Was basically a chicken breast, not a cutlet pounded thin. Sauce was flavorful but overly sweet. Came with a generous portion of veggies and a baked potato.BBQ pulled pork was very spicy. Could have used a hint about that. One more thing deserving comment. The carpet looked filthy and was badly stained. Very unappetizing. It's the only real restaurant in town so go for an average meal, the historic photos and the convenience.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with the folks at Drake’s. I would call ahead for a reservation, we liked the booth arrangement. Nice view and not near the glare and sun near the window seats. We had their soup special, beet salad and they split the salmon entree for us. The choices for wine, entrees and dessert were varied but not overwhelming. The staff was professional and friendly.
