Things to do in Truckee
Interesting setup like a homeless shelter, a few on long nicely finished tables, decor is up scale, beer is overpriced-after all most beers are mostly water, noisy bar scene most attracts the mid and younger crowd liking the party atmosphere and music-you can't have a conversation here, the Nacho snacks are over spiced, thrown together without much care and mostly a joke for nice snacks at nice dinner prices-no other food offered, snacks designed with lots of salts so you want to consume for beer, lots of very nice beers they produce in Incline Village, NV, wait staff are very good and friendly, parking is off street which is great for Truckee main street charges lots to park, needs better snack items-as a older senior I wouldn't return
The Pub at Donner Lake was founded by Chris and Denelle White in July 2019. Located at the West End of Donner Lake, on the Corner of Donner Pass Rd and South Shore DR, the original location was a Mel's Diner. In the early 1990's, the property was purchase
Cozy, lively pub, large bar, cheerful attentive service. Fish and chips are Beer Battered Mahi-Mahi....the Bratwurst is made in house, served with tons of mushrooms and onions....the SBLAT sandwich is Salmon. Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, and Tomato....and so on. Good Stuff...great bar to hang out too...One caveat, wines are only by the glass....but they have some good ones...

We really liked the innovative layout and concept of this eating spot in the middle of the hotel and the staff was great and food very good... but it was understaffed. We had a hard time getting consistent service. Waiters that took our order would never appear again (the food eventually would).I saw my drinks twice made at the bar waiting to be picked up by a server for over 5 minutes.Delicious food and excellent staff just be ready to wait. And for the price and a Ritz Carlton property this was disappointing.Dear mac45p, Thank you for taking your time to leave your feedback about our resort. We have visited the other Mellow Fellow locations in Virginia City and Reno, but really enjoyed the outdoor seating here. I was driving, and was disappointed that their only non-alcoholic offering was lemonade. No soda pop nor Ice tea. Tap water was available, but no ice. Despite that, we lounged on the patio and watched the world walk by (along with the occasional freight train)Menu very limited, but we ordered the Hummus Trio - and it was quite good. Approx 40 different beers on tap.

Nice view of the golf course. Good spot for lunch. Not dog friendly even on the patio with a leash. Pretty rare for Truckee

Great barbeque, sides, and beer located on the Truckee River. Get there early if you want to sit on patio with river views. Otherwise, you'll be inside, which isn't the worse thing, but it is definitely cozy.

Old Town Tap is a Neapolitan style pizzeria and bar that purposely connects the finesse of a high-end restaurant with the conviviality of a neighborhood bar. We specialize in genuine hospitality formed through compassion, laughter and attention to detail.
We arrived on Friday, ready for a week end ski, dinner at Truckee, We opted for Old Town Tap, share plates dinner with short ribs, meatballs, Brussel sprouts, fried sunchokes, put in order from acceptable to very poor. A glass of Pinot noir no taste, really disappointing.

Fun and busy place. Ate outside on patio on a lovely evening. Burger was above average and grilled shrimp was good with sweet potato fries. Service was just ok, not great. Beer lovers will enjoy.

A long standing establishment in a historic town, this place has a pleasant atmosphere, good food, friendly service, and a nice whiskey selection. It's hard to go wrong, really! This time, we sat at the bar and ordered cocktails from an attentive, friendly bartender. We decided on lettuce wraps, which came quickly and were quite tasty; large enough to share, btw. The last time we were there we actually sat at a table after starting at the bar. The service was very good, the food was very well presented and tasty. The cool thing was they never kicked us out in spite of the fact we stayed there for a couple of hours chatting with friends. The location is ideal, just off Lake Tahoe's circumnavigatable highways. Chill here and go for a walk down the quaint little streets when you're done.
